GUIDELINES

 The dimension of the project report should be in A4 size. The project report should be
bound using flexible cover of the thick white art paper. The cover should be printed in
black letters and the text for printing should be identical. For the final submission, a
hardbound version is required. Students should prepare three copies of the report: one for
the student team, one for the department, and one for the project guide.
 All text should use 1.5 line spacing, with Times New Roman as the chosen font style. The
font size should be 12 for the main content and 14 for titles.
 Preliminary pages should be numbered with Roman numerals (i, ii, iii, etc.), while the pages
starting from the Introduction chapter should use Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3, etc.). It is
important to position these page numbers at the bottom right corner (follow the sample
report for page numbering).
 If the chapter is numbered as 1, the sections within should be labelled 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, and so
forth. Subsections should follow as 1.1.1, 1.1.2, etc. Headings for paragraphs under
subsections should be bolded and presented in sentence case.
 Figures should be numbered as Figure 1.1, Figure. 1.2, and so on, with captions placed
below the figures. Tables should follow a similar numbering convention, labelled as Table
1.1, Table 1.2, etc., with captions positioned above.
 Equations within the report should follow the same numbering scheme as sections and
figures, ensuring they are easily identifiable.
 Maintaining a formal and concise language style throughout the report is vital. Avoiding
excessive jargon and providing clear explanations for technical terms will enhance the
reader's understanding. Additionally, a consistent citation style, such as APA or IEEE,
should be applied throughout the document, with a comprehensive reference list included at
the end to credit all sources.
 Thorough proofreading is essential before submission to identify and correct grammar,
punctuation, and formatting errors.
