Using The Operator Interface
Introduction
The Operator Interface can be customized and the functions on your system may
be slightly different from the default interface described below.
Figure 1 shows the default Operator Interface, which contains the following:
• The Testhead Control Panel provides buttons to load and run tests, and control
the testhead.
• The Information display area below the buttons shows the test status. The First
Pass Yield (FPY) display area shows the first pass yield together with the
number of boards that have been tested and the number that passed.
• The Output display area shows the BT-BASIC output and print statements.
• The Worst Probe Report display area reports on probes associated with test
failures. This information helps you to identify non-optimal probes or probing
locations that may be responsible for failing tests.
• The Browser button opens the ICT Browser, which shows the layout of the
board under test and helps you locate specific components.
• User-defined buttons, if any, will appear after the Browser button.
• When testing panelized boards, a board graphics display may appear for you to
select the boards to be tested. In the display area, you can zoom in by dragging
the cursor over the area you want to view. The selected area is enlarged to fill
the display area. To zoom out, double-click in the display area.
Operator Instructions
Logging off
Before you log off, make sure you exit the Operator software.
1 From the File menu, select Exit.
2 In Windows, click Start > Log Off.
File Menu
Use the File menu to open a testplan, print reports, or exit the software.
View Menu
Use the View menu to show or hide test reports and to clear test data.
Actions Menu
Use the Actions menu to control the testhead.
To use the SpecialAux commands, first specify the relay(s) to control in a file
called special_aux_set in I3070_ICT_ROOT\lib.
The syntax is: special aux set <n>.
For example, enter special aux set 5 in the file to control relay 5.
ICT Browser
The ICT Browser provides a graphical display of the features on the board and
fixture. It can help you locate specific devices, pins, or probing locations. For
example, you can use it to find a failing device on the board.
To launch the ICT Browser, click the Browser button.
For more information, see the following topics:
• Changing the Display Settings
• Browse or Search for Features
• Viewing Highlighted Devices
• Finding Pins on the Board
