PERFORMANCE TASK
Quarter 1

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: Look for a partner and accomplish this task by pair. Read and understand every detail
of this task. Make your work original and avoid relying on AI. Give it your best!

As a data analyst (ROLE), your task is to model a real-life scenario using functions (GOAL). You will select a
situation, such as how product pricing influences demand, the effect of medication dosage on recovery, or the
relationship between study hours and exam performance (SITUATION). Your responsibility is to identify the
independent and dependent variables, represent their relationship with a mathematical function, and present your
findings clearly to your team (AUDIENCE), who may have limited knowledge of functions. The final product will be
handwritten on short bond paper enclosed with a transparent folder and reported during the submission
(PRODUCT). It should include a cover page, an introduction to the scenario, the function’s equation, a graph
depicting the relationship, an analysis of the graph, a concluding summary of your insights, and individual reflection
notes of no less than 100 words per person. Your success will be evaluated based on the accuracy of your model,
clarity, relevance, creativity, and how effectively you communicate your findings (STANDARDS).
