ANCHORING SCRIPT (TEACHER’S DAY 2024)

Host: Jeevika | Co-host: Nimme

Jeevika: “Ladies and gentleman, students, teaching and

non-teaching staffs, and distinguished guests. Welcome
to the most awaited celebration of the year- Teacher’s
Day! I am Jeevika Teronpi, and I will be your host for this
event. Today, we gather to pay tribute to the pillars of
our institution, the guardians of our minds, and the
architects of our future. So, let’s come together to
express our heartfelt gratitude, appreciation, and
admiration for all that they do!”

“It is now my pleasure to introduce our Student Pupil’s

Leader, who will share some inspiring words with us
today. She has been an outstanding leader, guiding our
student council with dedication and passion. Please join
me in welcoming SPL LISIYA ENGTIPI to the stage.”

“Thank you, Lisiya, for this exceptional speech and

thought-provoking message.”

“Now, let us take a moment to appreciate the gift of

movement and the spirit of worship. It’s time to
experience the power of prayer through dance. Let’s
celebrate God’s love and grace with our Prayer Dance
Group. Please give them a warm welcome.”

“What a beautiful and heartfelt performance! Thank you

for this wonderful expression of worship. May God
continue to bless and inspire each and everyone of us.”
“It is believed that music is a source of comfort, a tool for
social bonding, and means for spiritual experience. We’re
honored to have, the Students of Class 9, perform for
us today. Please welcome them as they pay tribute to our
teachers with a special song.”
“Thank you for that amazing performance. You truly
honored our teachers with your beautiful song.”

Nimme: “Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls,

esteemed teachers, distinguished guests, and anyone
who accidently wandered into this auditorium hoping
there would be free food. Hi, my name is Nimme, and it is
my pleasure and privilege to be joining Jeevika, as co-
host for the rest of the program, as we continue to
recognize the relentless efforts of our amazing teachers.”

“From the streets of Mumbai, where the dances are hot

and the curries hotter…comes a performance that will
leave you breathless. Sit back, relax and enjoy, because
our talented dancers are here to add some masala to the
show. Please put your hands together for the most
fantastic, extraordinary, and unbelievably sensational
Bollywood performance…or at least that’s what they
asked me to write on the script. So, without further ado,
let’s welcome the Bollywood Dance Group.”

“We are grateful for the performance and the sweat...er, I

mean, the sparkle you brought on the stage! Thanks for
making us dance like nobody’s watching…With so much
energy and enthusiasm, I bet even the stage was
shaking.”

Jeevika: “Now, I take this opportunity to welcome the

man who has been the cornerstone of our school’s
success, the guiding light who has illuminated the path of
knowledge for us all. Please join me in welcoming our
Principal, Fr. Saji Lukose, who has always been
supportive in every way possible. May I request Fr. Saji to
kindly come on stage and deliver a few words on this
joyous occasion.”

Nimme: “Thank you Father, for taking the time to

address us today. We are thankful for your presence and
your speech. Your words are a constant source of
guidance and motivation. On this special occasion, we
wish you nothing but good health and tremendous
success.”

“Moving on to the next performance… wait a second.

Something’s missing. Hm…why are the corridors looking
so empty. Ah! The cabinets. Does anyone of you know
where they are? Ever since the Oath-taking ceremony,
our cabinets took a pledge to devote themselves to the
growth of Don Bosco and contribute to a positive and
inclusive school environment. We’ve seen them lead our
school with wisdom and grace, but they’re now willing to
risk it all for the sake of school spirit. In a world where
leaders are expected to be serious and solemn, our
cabinet members are daring to be different. Please put
your hands together for the most iconic performance of
the show. Let us welcome, with a bring round of
applause, the cabinet members of Don Bosco Higher
Secondary School.”

“I’m upset, and I think we all are. Of the fact that all this
while, they had been hiding their dancing skills from us.
Though we didn’t know what to expect but, we were
blown away by your performance. Who knew you all had
such amazing dance moves? We thought you were just
good at checking our school bags – what a wonderful
surprise it was! Thank you, cabinets”

“From the contemporary to classical, from the modern to

traditional, get ready to be transported to a world, where
rhythms and beats of our cultural heritage come alive on
stage. Our Cultural dance group is ready to take to a
journey around India through the universal language of
music and dance. Ladies and gentleman, please join us in
extending a warm welcome to the cultural dance group.”

“Our differences are what makes us unique, but our

shared humanity is what unites us. Thank you for this
powerful reminder! It is always a delight for the eyes to
see the mosaic of cultures. In a world where differences
often divide us, it’s heartwarming to see them bring us
together. Thank you for such a beautiful performance!”
Jeevika: “It is now time to witness the art form where
movement meets emotion. These group of talented
dancers are about to take the stage with their bold and
captivating dance moves. Let us welcome, with a big
round of applause, Lamjir and Group for their Modern
dance performance.”

Nimme: “The moment I thought I could choose a

favorite dance group, you’ve made it even harder to
choose. Oh my god, the energy, the style, the moves.
Your performance was such a breath of fresh air. Thank
you Lamjir and group for this incredible dance item.”

“Ladies and gentleman, today we honor our teachers,

and we’re grateful for their impact on our lives! They’re
the unsung heroes of our society, and today we celebrate
them. As we gather here today, we are reminded of the
tireless efforts and dedication of our teachers. Their
unwavering commitment to the Don Bosco family has
made a lasting impact, and we would like to formally
acknowledge their contributions. It is now, therefore, my
pleasure and privilege to be calling upon- Flory Nampui,
of XII Science-A on stage to deliver the vote of thanks.”
Jeevika: “Thank you very much, Flory, for this humble
appreciation. Now, as we come to the end of today’s
program, let us take a moment to reflect on the impact
our teachers have on us. Although this program is
coming to a close, but the appreciation and gratitude we
have for our teachers will always be there.”

Nimme: “Let us all honor the people who have to deal

with naughty kids like us on a daily basis. They are the
ones who put up with us all year around. Let us put our
hands together and give them one final round of
applause. (Pause) As we wrap today’s Teacher’s Day
Program, remember: Teachers are like coconuts- they
may seem tough on the outside, but inside, they are soft
and nurturing! Just like coconuts have multiple layers,
teachers have many roles and responsibilities- they’re
educators, mentors, guides, and more! Coconuts have a
hard shell that protects the precious fruit inside- teachers
create a safe and supportive environment that allows
their students to flourish! Moreover, teachers are like
superheroes- except for the fact that, in instead of
wearing capes, they wear the purple uniform of Don
Bosco.”

Jeevika: “That’s all for today. Thank you for joining us

to celebrate our amazing teachers. I request everyone to
kindly rise and proceed back to your classrooms quietly.”
