Narrator2: For Lok Sabha elections, the country is divided into 543
constituencies. The representative elected from each constituency is called a
Member of Parliament or an MP.
Narrator2: Now let see what is the scene of beginning till the end of elections
in state government of Uttar Pradesh.
Scene 2
Voter list
Voter [1]: Yes, I went to the electoral constituencies and Got it.
Voter [2]: But I am not able to get it as I am busy with my studies and in
Government official places they take a very long time.
Voter [1]: If you are unable to go in government official place then you can

Election Campaigns
Narrator1: After taking the tickets the candidates run their campaigns in which
Promises to the citizens about what changes they will make after
Being elected.
Anchor[1]: On this lucky day we have among with us the Party president of

Narrator 2: The final stage of an election is the day when the voters cast or
“poll” their vote. That day is usually called the election day.
Narrator2: Every person whose name is on the voters’ list can go to a nearby
‘polling booth’, situated usually in a local school or a government office.
Narrator3: Once the voter goes inside the booth, the election officials identify
her/him, put a mark on her finger and allow her to cast her vote.
Narrator3: An agent of each candidate is allowed to sit inside the polling booth
and ensure that the voting takes place in a fair way.

Oath Ceremony
Narrator1: When the election results are declared the Rulling party’s
President is taking a oath for a chief minister.Here the
LSP won .
Narrator 1: Now the Chief Minister will be in power till the next
election that is 5 years. But if he is caught doing something
illegal and not for the people then he will be thrown out of
power.
