Course Description Certificate in Web Application Development using Java Technologies is an intensive program designed to rapidly learn J2EE programming. The Course will cover the use of procedural J2EE working with real-world examples and exercises. Students will understand the concepts of object-oriented programming (OOP) using J2EE and learn how to write increasingly sophisticated J2EE programs. This course focuses on the use of Database interfaces using MySQL, Error and Exception handling, Java Servlet programming and Java Server Pages.
Course Duration The duration of the course is 60 hours followed by a Project work

Pre-requisite for delivering the Course Faculty members, who have undergone the 8-day training program on Certificate in Java Programming, conducted by ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu (ICTACT) will be eligible to deliver the course.

Technical Interaction Two days of orientation will be conducted by ICTACT for the faculty members who are handling the course in their region. During the conduct of the course, the faculty members from the college can interact with ICTACTs Expert team, through the email ID [email protected], for any technical references or clarifications.

Project Students are required to undergo a Project work as the partial fulfillment for the completion of the course. Project Work should be in accordance with the Project Specifications provided by ICTACT in consultation with the industry. Any faculty member, who have undergone the 8-day training program on Certificate in Java Programming, conducted by ICTACT, will be the Project Guide. The Project work can be done in groups, with maximum of five students in a group. Students are required to submit one hard copy of Project Documentation per group through the college which is signed by the Project Guide and the Principal. Also the Soft Copy of the Project work has to be submitted to ICTACT for evaluation. Assessment Students who have a minimum of 80% of attendance are only eligible for appearing for the assessment. The Assessment will be done by ICTACT and the question pattern would focus on higher order thinking skills (HOTS) like applications of J2EE, conceptual understanding and analysis. The Project Presentation and Project Demonstration would be evaluated by the respective project guide and by the expert team at ICTACT. The assessment would be done as follows: 1. Online / Offline Assessment 80% 2. Project Evaluation 20%

Certification Benefits Students profile including their personal details, academic details and the grade scored in the Student Certification Program will be showcased to the industry through ICTACT Portal.
Responsibilities
ICTACT:
To provide the industry relevant content to students at free of cost. To providing Pedagogical Tools for faculty members at free of cost. To conduct two day orientation program for the faculty members handling
batches at their region. To conduct Assessment. To evaluate the Project Work. To certify the students. To showcase the students profile to the industry.

College:
To enroll students for the program and furnish the details of the students with
their email ids. To remit the Certification fee to ICTACT, batch-wise before course commencement. To nominate ICTACT trained faculty member for delivering the program. To update Session plan and Student details in ICTACT Portal by the respective faculty member. To conduct sessions as per Session Plan by the respective faculty member. To submit students attendance detail to ICTACT at the end of the program, certified by the Principal. To provide required Infrastructure for the smooth conduct of the course. To submit Project Allocation Report, Project Documentation, Project Work to ICTACT.
Certification Fee Rs. 500/- (+10.30% Service Tax) per student has to be paid to ICTACT towards Assessment and Certification, through their respective college.
