I am also grateful to Mr.A. Rajesh (Marketing Executive, market


development and circulation), for giving me this opportunity and
guidance to conduct the project study in Business Standard
Ltd.,BBSR.
I am also obliged to the staff members especially Mr.Bijaya Kumar
Das(Manager Market Development) and Mr.Manoj Mohapatra
for their help and assistance.
Lastly I thank all the respondents whose responses played a major
role in completion of this research work and without whose help I
couldn’t have completed the project work.
PREFACE

This research project provides a brief knowledge about the print


media industry. In today’s world print media plays a vital role as the
fourth pillar of democracy and helps to reveal unveiled truths to
open the eyes of common people. As print media become more
sophisticated and complex in 1975 ANAND BAJAR PATRIKA come up
with a paper that provides core business knowledge with business
strategic named BUSINESS STANDARD.

In the respect of syllabus I had under going on forty five days


training .The topic assigned to me was personal selling .The different
situation also been discussed.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Know-a –days print media play a vital role with each a class of
its own kinds .and each of them faces though competition from rest
other .that is why the study of attitude of customer at the same time
the prefer of Clint towards a particular newspaper.
But this study is limited because of its scope and areas which
had been covered was confined within two cities only that is
bhubaneswar , berhampur ,in fact I have tried my level best and taken
place at all the necessary steps to give conclusive evidence with
limited time period of study.
I also have tried my level best to improve the sales of the
company and to improve the customer relation .whatever target was
given I tried to achieve as per my effort.
I hope that my mentor and all the department of BUSINESS
STANDARD bless me for my brighter future.
