DIALOGUE
STUDENT A: Hello, everyone! Good morning!
STUDENT B: Good morning! So, Carol, I heard you had a family event recently.
Can you tell us about it?
STUDENT A: Yes, of course! Last weekend, we celebrated my grandmother’s 80th
birthday. It was a lovely event.
STUDENT B: Wow, 80 years! That’s amazing. Where did you celebrate it?
STUDENT A: We had the celebration at my uncle’s house. It’s a big, beautiful
place with a large garden, so we set everything up outside.
STUDENT B: That sounds nice. What was the most important part of the day?
STUDENT A: The most important part was when we all gathered to give
speeches. Everyone shared memories and said how much we love her. My
grandmother was very happy, and she even cried a little.
STUDENT B: Aww, that’s sweet. And what did you wear for the event?
STUDENT A: I wore a blue dress and white shoes. The dress was simple but
elegant.
STUDENT B: It sounds like a beautiful day. What did you eat and drink?
STUDENT A: We had a big buffet with different kinds of food. There were grilled
meats, salads, and delicious desserts. We also had fresh lemonade and wine.
STUDENT C: Nice! Now, Eliseo, I remember you had a family event recently too.
Can you tell us about it?
STUDENT B: Sure! Last month, my sister got married. It was a small but beautiful
wedding.
STUDENT C: Congratulations! Where was the wedding held?
STUDENT B: Thank you! It was at a charming little chapel in the countryside, and
the reception was at a nearby hotel.
STUDENT A: That sounds wonderful. What did your sister wear?
STUDENT B: She wore a stunning white wedding dress with lace details. She
looked so elegant and happy.
STUDENT C: And what about the food and drinks at the reception?
STUDENT B: We had a three-course meal with options for everyone. There was
chicken, beef, and a vegetarian dish. For drinks, there were cocktails, wine, and
non-alcoholic beverages for the kids.
STUDENT C: Sounds like a perfect day. I’m glad both of your family events were
so special.
STUDENT B: Yes, they really were. Well, I have to go now. It was great talking to
all of you.
STUDENT C: Me too. Take care, everyone!
STUDENT A: Goodbye, and see you soon!
STUDENT B: Goodbye!
