 Application and Selection Procedure:
1. A candidate to submit the application full biodata in plain paper through registered post in
the name of “The Sub Dean (Research), Armed Forces Medical College, Solapur Road, Pune-
411 040 superscripted with Application for MDRU Contractual Post of Lab Technician to reach
the Office on or before 14 Aug 2024 , 16:30 Hours.
2. The Application received will be scrutinized by the selection committee.
3. The list of eligible candidates will be displayed on the College website. The candidates
are advised to check the College website www.afmc.in for the date, time and venue of written
test (if required) and interview.
4. Eligible candidates will be notified by Email and/or SMS.
5. The final selection is based on Interview.

OF MULTI-DISCLIPANRY RESEARCH UNITS (MRU) IN THE STATE GOVERNMENT
MEDICAL COLLEGES / INSTITUTIONS:

Eligibility criteria for the posts
1. Lab Technician (Post Code: 01):
(i) Essential Qualifications:
B.Sc. in MLT/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Chemistry/ Molecular

Biology from a recognized university.
(ii) Desirable Qualifications
(a) Working experience in Molecular Research lab/clinical lab/ Human genetics
(b) Preferably one year or more working knowledge of molecular biology,

ELISA, western blotting, NGS sequencing, PCR and post PCR experiments with
basic skills like pipetting, autoclaving etc.
(c) Additional preference will be given to the candidate who has experience in
NGS sequencing.
2. Lab Technician (Post Code: 02):
(i) Essential Qualifications:
B.Sc. in MLT/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Chemistry/ Molecular

Biology from a recognized university.
(ii) Desirable Qualifications
(a) Working experience in Cell culture lab/clinical lab/ genetics studies/

Molecular research lab
(b) Preferably one year or more working knowledge of cell culture, molecular
biology, PCR, ELISA with basic skills like pipetting, autoclaving etc.
(c) Preference will be given to candidate who can handle multiple cell lines and
primary culture
GENERAL INFORMATION / INSTRUCTIONS
The posts are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The appointments are
terminable with one month's notice from either side without assigning any reason. The selected
candidates will have no claim for regular appointment under the Govt. of India or under the ICMR
or continuation of his/her services in any other project or under state Govt. or under Armed
Forces Medical College, Pune. Benefits of the Provident Fund, CCA, Leave Travel Concession,
etc., and medical claims are not admissible. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview,
joining, or terminating the services. Candidates possessing experience in work relating to
laboratory research with non-communicable diseases shall be preferred.
TERMS & CONDITIONS:
(1) The candidate who is in service shall submit a "No Objection Certificate'’ from the
present employer at the time of the interview.
(2) Canvassing of any kind will lead to disqualification.
(3) The prescribed qualification is the minimum, and mere possession of the same does
not entitle any candidate for selection.
(4) The appointment is full-time, and private practice of any type is strictly prohibited.
(5) He or she is expected to conform to the rules of conduct and discipline as applicable
to the institute employees.
(6) The candidate should not have been convicted by any court of law.
(7) In case any information given or declaration made by the candidate is found to be
false or if the candidate has willfully suppressed any material information relevant to this
appointment, he or she will be liable to be removed from the service and action taken as
deemed fit by the appointing authority.
(8) The decision of the competent authority regarding the selection of candidates will be
final, and no representation will be entertained in this regard.
(9) Applications that are incomplete in any aspect will be summarily rejected.
(10) The Competent Authority reserves the right to make any amendment, cancellation, or
change to this advertisement as a whole or in part without assigning any reason or giving
notice.
