Waves Mindmap

Waves are described by their frequency, wavelength, amplitude, and speed. Frequency is the number of waves produced per unit time and is measured in Hertz. Wavelength is the minimum distance between two particles that are in phase. Speed is the distance the wave travels in a unit of time and can be calculated using the formula that speed equals frequency multiplied by wavelength. Waves transfer energy through a medium without transferring matter.
