Thank you for acquiring the Peinemann Equipment B.V. Outside Bundle Cleaner Type
C (OBC-C) with powerpack. The OBC-C provides a quick, safe and easy method for
cleaning bundles. This manual contains the required information to correctly perform
the installation, become familiar with safely operating the OBC-C with powerpack and
perform required maintenance. Please read this manual thoroughly and in completeness
before installation or conducting operations.
Information in this manual is important for safe and correct usage of the machine. Please
contact Peinemann Equipment B.V. when there are questions concerning safe installation
and operation.

Machine description
The OBC-C with powerpack is a productive shellside cleaner for use in the cleaning bay
during turnarounds. The machine is operated safely from the control unit. The controls gives
the operator full control of the nozzle bar, which can be manipulated in three directions;
“horizontal, vertical and in/out”.
Accountability
Peinemann Equipment B.V. cannot be held accountable for any material and non-material
damage caused during installation and operation of the OBC-C with powerpack. Users are
obliged to carefully read the manual and handle the machine with care.

The Peinemann Equipment OBC-C with powerpack can solely be used for the purpose of
cleaning bundles. The machine has to be correctly installed and a stable surface. Due to
the risks of working with high water pressure, the operations have to be conducted in a
designated area. Operators must follow safety protocols and handle with care.
The OBC-C with powerpack may only be installed, operated and maintained by qualified and
trained personnel. Before conducting actions of any kind, personnel need to first thoroughly
read this manual. The instructions in this manual should be followed at any moment. Not
following prescribed instructions could have serious consequences, such as physical injury
and material damage.
The following safety instructions must be followed when operating the machine.
• It is prohibited for unauthorized personnel to operate the machine or come near the site.
• Inform about the nature of the chemicals on the bundle. Consult the project leader when
in doubt.
• Smoking, eating and drinking around the machine is prohibited. Eating and drinking is only
allowed after washing hands and palms thoroughly.
• When working with contaminated material or chemicals, additional protection must we
worn.
• All personnel near the installation must wear approved hearing protection.
• Everyone around the installation and the operator must be aware of the location of
medical equipment and fire extinguishers.
• All service must be accessible at all times. Placing obstacles in front of fire extinguishers
and emergency exists is prohibited.
• All operations must be shut down when toxic fumes are detected.

Unpack the package and correctly
dispose any packaging material.
Step 2
Disassemble the mounting pin from
the top and bottom part of the
frame.
Step 3
Lift the top frame with a qualified
forklift.
Step 4
Place the mounting pen in the stora-
ge position. The mounting pen has
no further function.
Step 5
Place the two frames next to each
other.
Step 6
Bolt the two frames together.
Step 7
Fold the guidance for the energy belt
open and lock it into position.
Step 8
Turn the support legs 90 degrees
by pulling the locking system. Then
lower the support legs until the
machine is positioned horizontally
level.
Make sure the whole frame sits horizontally level to ensure proper functionality and safety.
Step 9
Check if the machine is positioned
stable. Then remove the bolts from
the tower base.
Step 10
Hoist the tower vertically and fasten
it accordingly with the bolts from
step 9.
Check if all bolts are correctly fastened and if the machine is positioned stable.
Step 12
Connect the hydraulic hoses from the powerpack to the control unit accordingly.
Step 1. Connect the high pressure hose to the pre-mounted hose and adjustable guidance
pipe at the top of the column. Make sure that the hose can move freely, without crushes,
when connected.
Step 4. Move the lance forwards until there is an appropriate distance between the bundle
and the spray head.
Step 6. Move the column and lance horizontally and vertically around the bundle to clean it.
Step 7. Turn the bundle with help of the rollers. This allows the operator to completely clean
the bundle.
Step 8. When the operator is done cleaning the bundle, shut down the pump and place the
lance in the most backward position.
Step 9. Stop the engine and turn of the powerpack main switch.

pump and release the excess water.

Align the arrow on the tower with
the arrow on the frame. This ensures
the correct lowering position of the
tower.
Step 3
Remove the bolts from the
tower base.
Step 4
Carefully lower the tower.
Step 5
Disconnect the hydraulic hoses
from the control unit
Step 6
Retract the support legs and then
turn them accordingly 90 degrees
until they are level with the main
frame.
Step 7
Fold the guidance for the energy belt
back into the frame and lock it into
position.
Step 8
Remove the bolts from the frames
and detach the two frames.
Step 9
Place the frames on top of each other
and make sure the mounting pin falls
into the lower frame correctly.
The OBC-C must be checked after usage. Follow the mentioned points to ensure a long life-
time of the machine.
Warranty
1. Peinemann will provide warranties only if and insofar as this has been agreed explicitly in
writing.
2. If and to the extent that a warranty has been agreed, Peinemann in respect of the Other
Party warrants the soundness of the equipment and/or goods delivered by Peinemann, in the
sense that if any shortcomings in the spare parts become clear during the warranty period
and a complaint is submitted in good time, Peinemann will re-deliver spare parts at no cost
by sending the spare parts to the Other Party. Peinemann will in principle not assemble
the spare parts, unless parties explicitly agree otherwise in which case Peinemann will be
compensated for all costs related to the assembly, travel costs included.
3. If and to the extent that a warranty has been agreed, this warranty will never exceed
the warranty obligation which Peinemann’s supplier has in respect of Peinemann and the
opportunity for recovery which this supplier provides to Peinemann. Peinemann will be
discharged in this respect if its assigns its claim to this third party to the Other Party.
Warranty claims will not cause the Other Party’s payment obligation to be suspended.
4. Peinemann does not warrant that equipment, spare parts, goods and/or services delivered
by Peinemann are or will be fit for a particular purpose for which they are or will be used.
5. Agreed warranty on equipment, goods, spare parts and/or services delivered by Peinemann
does not apply if defects are the result of:
• equipment, spare parts and/or goods delivered that were not new at the time of delivery;
• the inspection and repair of equipment, spare parts or other goods of the Other Party;
• parts for which a manufacturer’s warranty has been given.
Complaints
1. The Other Party must inspect the delivered equipment, spare parts, goods and/or services
on delivery and must submit any visible shortcomings to Peinemann in writing no later than
seven days after the delivery, failing which any claim against Peinemann will lapse.
2. Complaints regarding other shortcomings must be submitted in writing within seven days
after they have become manifest, subject to lapsing of any claim against Peinemann.
3. Complaints regarding insignificant deviations in terms of quality, quantity, size, finishing
etc. and/or deviations on the aforementioned terms that are permissible on the market
or technically unavoidable, as well as complaints regarding the circumstance that certain
equipment or goods have been removed from the assortment, will not be deemed founded
by Peinemann
