Q1 A tailor makes two types of cloths, which are trousers and shirt. In a week, he makes x trousers and y
shirts. The cost of making trousers in RM80 and a shirt is RM40. The production of cloth is based on the
following constraints:
(a) Write three inequalities other than 𝑥 ≥ 0 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑦 ≥ 0 which satisfy all the above constraints. [3m]

(b) Using a scale of 2 cm to 10 clothes on both axes, construct and shade the region R which satisfies
all the above constraints. [3m]
Q2 A beauty center processing x bottles of perfumes P and y bottles of perfume Q in a particular week.
The profit of each bottle P is RM30 and the profit for each bottle Q is RM24. Perfume processing daily is
based on the following constraints:
II – The number of perfumes P is not more than 3 times the number of perfumes Q.
(a) Write three inequalities other than 𝑥 ≥ 0 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑦 ≥ 0 which satisfy all the above constraints. [3m]

(b) Using a scale of 2 cm to 50 bottles of perfumes on both axes, construct and shade the region R
which is satisfy all the above constraints. [3m]
(i) The minimum number of perfumes Q if the perfumes P is 100 bottles. [2m]
(ii) The maximum profit of the beauty center in a week. [2m]
Q3 A school plan to organize a trip to Muzium Negara. They decide to rent x buses and y vans to carry the
students. The rental of a bus is RM700 and the rental of a van is RM350. The rental of the vehicles is
based on the following constraints:
III – The maximum allocation for the rental of the vehicles is RM4200.
(a) Write three inequalities other than 𝑥 ≥ 0 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑦 ≥ 0 which satisfy all the above constraints. [3m]

(b) Using a scale of 2 cm to 1 vehicle on both axes, construct and shade the region R which is satisfy
all the above constraints. [3m]
(i) The minimum number of vans rented if 3 buses are rented. [2m]
(ii) The maximum number of students that can be carried if a bus can accommodate 28
passengers and a van can accommodate 9 passengers. [2m]
Q4. En. Mikhail receives stock of goods for sale every month. At least 50 packets of chocolate biscuits
and 180 packets of corn biscuits are accepted by En. Mikhail. The packing weight of chocolate biscuits
and corn biscuits is 24 kg and 8 kg. The store can only store a total of 800 packet of biscuits as well as
cannot store the number of chocolate biscuits and corn biscuits that weight more than 8000 kg.
(a) If En. Mikhail receives x packing of chocolate biscuits and y corn biscuits in a month. Write four
inequalities, other than 𝑥 ≥ 0 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑦 ≥ 0 which satisfy all the above constraints. [4m]

(b) Using a scale of 2 cm to 100 kg on both axes, construct and shade the region R which is satisfy all
the above constraints. [3m]
(i) The range of number of corn biscuit packs that can be stored if there are 200 packs of
chocolate biscuits. [1m]
(ii) The maximum profit you can get if the profit from a pack of chocolate biscuits and corn
biscuits is RM30 and RM10 respectively. [2m]
