Abstract
We have included an average pricing in this brief report that takes the local market into
consideration. In regard to Sri Lanka's existing circumstances, the local and export market
pricing are exactly the same. The draft pricing for each kind of guppy and the average expenses
that must be deducted from the overall profit are shown below. We additionally demonstrate the
theoretical earnings when a certain quantity of guppies (one thousand guppies each variety) is
taken into consideration.
We are offering a general price list here. In the wholesale market, these costs vary in response to
the volume of guppies sold.
Global Market
To calculate the potential revenue for farming each guppy variety, we can follow these steps:
Key Factors:
1. Cost of Farming:
○ Initial setup: breeding tanks, filters, heaters, etc.
○ Feed and maintenance costs per month.
○ Labor, utilities, and medication costs.
2. Let's assume an average farming cost of LKR 100 per guppy for basic maintenance,
excluding initial setup costs.
3. Market Price: Using the local market prices.
Sales Volume: Assuming you sell 1,000 fish per month of each variety.
