TRIGONOMETRY
Everyone - Good Morning Everyone.
Myself Aaradhya Uday Darekar. Myself Himanshu Dinesh Pawar. Myself Aryan Sunil Nirmal. Myself Vihaan Shashikant Jadhav Today we are here to present our maths exhibition, on topic Trigonometry.
Aaradhya – I would like to introduce our topic which is one of the
most interesting and important in mathematics that is, Trigonometry. It is basically a branch of mathematics that deals with the relationships between angles and sides of triangles. It is a rich and fundamental discipline with a history dating back to ancient civilization. Aryan – Trigonometry's historical journey can be traced back to ancient civilizations such as Babylonians and Greeks, who employed it’s principals for practical tasks like measuring land and predicting celestial events. Himanshu - Now Let us know the trigonometric ratios.Trigonometry has six primary ratios.Let us know which are they.Sine,Cosine ,Tangent,Cosecant,Secant, Cotangent are the six trigonometric ratios. These ratios define relationship between angles and sides of triangles. Vihaan – Learning about their calculations and functions, here we are having a basic model that shows all six trigonometric ratios with their calculation and function. Aaradhya – In this model we are having all six trigonometric ratios with their calculations and function. We can see here a diagram of a right angled triangle with mentioned Perpendicular,Base and Hypotenuse. On basis of this, sine = P/H,tan = P/B, cos = B/H , cos = H/P, sec = H/B, cot = B/P. Aryan – As we know that trigonometry's principal is used in many fields like astronomy, navigation and oceanography. To know it practically in brief , here we are having a model of real life based trigonometry examples, which best shows how trigonometry actually works. Himanshu – To understand, how actually trigonometry works,we are having some of objects which will help us.Here we have model of building,a tower, helicopter flying in sky.To measure there angles we have protractor. Aaradhya – Here we are having a model of building. The height of this building is X cm from ground. The distance between building’s bottom and protractor is X.The angle formed between building’s top and ground is X.We have to find the distance between top of building and protractor that is hypotenus by using trigonometric ratio. For that we are using sine formula. As we know sin 0 = P/H,so sin X is X.By calculating, the hypotenuse is X cm.So the distance between the protractor and building top is X cm. Aryan – Like this we are having a model of tower. The distance between tower and protractor is X cm.The angle formed between tower's top and ground is X.In this case we have to find height of tower using trigonometric ratio.Using the tangent formula we can find height of ttower. As we know tan = P/B,so tan X is X.By calculating, the height of tower is X. Himanshu – We are having one more model of flying helicopter. The height of this helicopter is X from ground. And the angle formed between helicopter's top and protractor is X.Using cosine formula we can find base of formed triangle.Where cosine = B/H,so Cos is X is X.By calculating we get base X. Vihaan – So these are some of examples which perfectly shows how actual trigonometry works in day to day life. Himanshu – In conclusion trigonometry stands as a cornerstone of mathematical knowledge with far reaching application from ancient civilization navigation the sea to modern engineer shaping or technological landscape trigonometryhas proven to be an indispensable tool. Everyone – So here we conclude ourselves, thank you ! ! Thank You !
