हि(A) A gunner decided to hit a suspected car running on a road. The gun kept on a straight horizontal road
is used to hit a car travelling along the same road away from the gun with uniform velocity of 72 km per
hour. The car is at a distance of 500 m from the gun when the gun is fired at an angle of 45° with the

horizontal. (taking g =10 m/s.)

1. The speed of projection of the shell from the gun is-
(a)86m/s (b) 86.56m/s (c) 86.25m/s (d) 86.05m/s
2. The distance of the car from the gun when the shell hits the car-. (a) 600m (b) 650m (c) 644m (d) 744m
3. The time taken by the shell to hit the car is-
(a)12.98s (b) 18.014s (d) 18.140s (d) 12.00s
4.The maximum height attend by the cell during its flight is-
(a)180m (b) 183m (c) 186m 193.8m
(B) In the following set of question two statements “assertion” and “reason” are given choose the correct
answer from the following option:
(a) Assertion and reasons are true and the region is the correct explanation of the assertion.
(b) Assertion and reason are true but the reason is not a correct explanation of the assertion.
(c) Assertion is true but the reason is false.
(d) Assertion is false but the reason is true.

5. Assertion: two particles of the different mass projected with same velocity at same angles the maximum
height attained by both the particles will be same.
Reason: the maximum height of projected is independent of particles mass.
6. Assertion: A man in a closed cabin which is falling freely, does not experience a gravity.
Reasons: inertial and gravitational masses have equivalence.
7. Assertion: An object can have constant speed but variable velocity.
Reason: speed is a scalar but velocity is a vector quantity.
8. Assertion: in a measurement, to readings obtained are 20.004 and 20.0004. second measurement is more
precise.
Reason: measurement having more decimal places is more precise.

VIII. A particle is moving under constant force if distance x depends on the time according to
following relation t = √x+3, where X is in meter and t is second estimate the displacement of
the particle at what time when its velocity is zero.

km per hour. (i) In which direction should he swim to reach the opposite point of river bank
of river.(ii)if the breath of the river be 100 m then what will be minimum time to cross the
river.
