I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standard The learner understands the interplay between
humans and their environments.
B. Performance Standard The learner is able to demonstrate the virtues of
prudence and frugality towards his/her environment.

D. Learning Objectives At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:
a. Explain environmental philosophy and
environmental aesthetics;
b. Acknowledge that care for the environment
contributes to health, well-being, and sustainable
development; and
c. Reflect on the importance of taking good care of
our environment.

movement.

Drill: See what’s the Difference!


Direction: Show the class two different pictures and
ask them their observations.

pictures? What is the difference between the

2. Which picture shows a much preferable
condition of our surrounding?

Environmental philosophy or environmental
ethics is the philosophy that studies the moral
relationship of human beings with the
environment and its non- human contents.

It tackles the issue such as humanity’s role in the


natural world, the interaction between nature and
human activities, and humanity’s response to
environment challenges.

The person is not only capable of transforming


the world but also of understanding the laws
which govern nature. Because of this ability to
access nature, the role of the person in relation
to it can take on different forms. He or she may
opt to treat the environment as an object, as a
source of raw materials to be used in any way he
or she pleases.
D. Discussing New Group Activity: “LET’S MAKE THE WORLD A
Concepts and BETTER PLACE”
Practicing New Skills
The class will be divided into three (3) groups.
Three different roles will be assigned to each of the
group and let them choose the specific role.

Group 1 –
Direction: Plot a short role play regarding the ways on
taking good care of our environment. Provide accurate
and detailed presentation.
Group 2 -
Direction: Thinking that you are inline in clothing
designs, and you are going to make a statement shirt

statement that show personal commitment to uphold
sustainability and environmentalism.

Group 3 – YOU KNOW WRITE!


Directions: Complete the graphic organizer below with
three (3) things that you will do to preserve and make
the environment a better place for us to live in, and for
the future generation to enjoy. Write them inside the
three (3) leaves below. In the box, write down what will
happen to the environment in the next fifteen years if
the people will follow the three things that you have
listed.
