---
(Suspenseful music plays. The sound of wind rustling through leaves is heard.
Footsteps approach slowly.)
Narrator: (In a deep, suspenseful voice) In the small town of Bramblewood, nothing is
as it seems. Dark secrets lurk behind the smiles of its residents, and in the heart of the
woods, something sinister stirs. For years, people have whispered about the strange
shadows that move without a source, the eerie voices that echo through the trees. But
it was just a story… until now.
Emily: (Excitedly) Jake, did you hear about what happened near the old Blackwood
house?
Jake: (Dismissive) You and your mysteries, Emily. It’s probably just another wild
animal scare. Nothing to get worked up about.
Emily: (Determined) No, Jake. This time, someone saw a shadow moving on its own.
And the whispers… People are saying you can hear them calling your name.
Emily: (Defiantly) Of course, I am! This could be the biggest mystery we’ve ever
solved. Are you coming with me or not?
Narrator: (Mysteriously) And so, with curiosity blazing in their hearts, Emily and Jake
set off on a path that would lead them deeper into the unknown than they could ever
imagine.

Act 2: The Encounter
Jake: (Whispering) I still think this is a bad idea. It’s getting dark, and we’re way too
close to the Blackwood house.
Emily: (Determined) Just a little further. The old library records said there was an
incident here fifty years ago. I want to find out what happened.
(Suddenly, the wind picks up. A faint whisper is heard, almost too quiet to distinguish
words.)
Emily: (Scared but curious) I don’t know, but we have to see where it’s coming from.
Emily: (Trembling) Wait… Look, it’s moving towards the old Blackwood house. We
have to follow it!
Narrator: (Ominously) The shadow led them to the doorstep of the abandoned
Blackwood house, where the air felt thick with secrets, and the past whispered to
those brave enough to listen.
---
Emily: (Firmly) There’s no such thing as curses. It’s just a story to keep people away.
(A soft sobbing is heard. They turn and see Mrs. Blackwood, sitting in a corner.)
Mrs. Blackwood: (Sorrowful) You shouldn’t have come. The shadows… they never
rest.
Emily: (Gently) Mrs. Blackwood, what happened here fifty years ago?
Mrs. Blackwood: (Voice trembling) My daughter… she disappeared. They said it was
an accident, but I know… the shadows took her.
(A loud crash interrupts them. The Mysterious Voice is heard again, closer this time.)
Emily: (Resolute) No. If there’s a chance to find out what happened, we have to try.
(They move towards the basement door, creaking as they open it. The stairs creak
under their weight.)
Narrator: (Suspenseful) Step by step, they descended into the darkness, the air
growing colder, the shadows thicker. And there, in the center of the room, they saw it.
A small, dusty box, untouched for decades.
(She opens the box slowly. A piece of paper and an old necklace lie inside.)
Emily: (Reading) “To my dearest daughter, may you find peace in the light, away
from the shadows that haunt this place.”
Mrs. Blackwood: (Sobbing) She knew… she knew they would take her…
(The Mysterious Voice begins to wail, the shadows in the room swirling violently.)
(They run upstairs, the shadows chasing them, the voice echoing in their ears.)
---
(The door slams behind them as they burst out of the house, breathing heavily.)
Jake: (Shaking) I don’t know, but we’re never going back there again.
Narrator: (Calmly) They had faced the darkness and emerged, but the shadows never
forget. In the quiet of the night, when the wind whispers through the trees, if you
listen closely, you can still hear the voice… calling, waiting for someone brave or
foolish enough to return.
---
Emily: (Sighs) I still don’t understand everything that happened, but we know one
thing for sure.
Emily: The shadows are real, and they’re still out there, waiting.
Jake: (Nervously) Let’s just hope they’re not waiting for us.
Narrator: (Concluding) And so, the mystery of the shadows remains unsolved, a dark
thread woven into the fabric of Bramblewood’s history. A reminder that some secrets
are better left buried… in the darkness.
