Quality Analysis| Coordination in RCP
The shopdrawing workflow involves the progression of drawings from an IFC model to a final sheet through a series of steps. It begins with the creation of shopdrawings based on the
information in the IFC model. These detailed drawings depict specific building components. The shopdrawings are then reviewed, and any necessary changes or additions are marked up using
redlines. The marked-up drawings are revised to incorporate the requested modifications, and the process repeats until all feedback is addressed. Once the revisions are approved, the final
shopdrawings are prepared as sheets, including title blocks, scales, and project-specific details. This final sheet represents the completed set of drawings ready for distribution. The workflow
may vary based on project requirements and software used.
Comment Standarization
The standardization of comments for future sheets is crucial to prevent recurring errors and improve overall quality. To achieve this, it is important to establish clear guidelines and processes.
This involves creating a commenting template with predefined categories, providing guidelines for comment format and detail, implementing a systematic review process, documenting and
tracking comments, conducting regular feedback sessions, and continuously refining the comment process based on lessons learned. By following these steps, project stakeholders can ensure
consistency in comments, minimize errors, and enhance the efficiency of future sheet reviews.
