Dear Candidate,

Kind reference is invited to the candidate's for online Nautical Oral examination which is
scheduled during the month of SEP'2024 at MMD, Kolkata from 09.30 hrs.
The following instructions may be noted for joining the examination being conducted using
Microsoft Teams.
1. The candidate needs to comply with the requirements of Annexure-I of the Notice no. F.
No. 7-NT (36)98-Vol-II dated 10.05.2021. A special attention is invited to sections 3 & 4
dealing with Requirements and Positioning of furniture and devices in the examination room.
In case of any non- compliance observed by the examiner, the candidate may be rejected
from appearing for the examination.
2. Additionally, candidate needs to install Any Desk remote desktop software
(https://anydesk.com/en) and provide the Remote Desk ID address at the time of the video
call.
3. The candidate needs to download the soft copy of Form 29, EXN Form &
Admit card and keep it on the desktop of the primary device. Additionally,
these documents are also required to forward it to this email immediately.
4. The link will be forwarded by the Internal Examiner at 0930 hrs on the day of the
examination:

5. The Candidates needs to join as a guest using the pc browser. On clicking the link, the
browser window will open where the candidate will require to enter their Full Name followed
by INDOS Number (e.g. Akash S. Pandav, 05NL2212) in the form provided by the video
conferencing software.
6. The candidate will be then admitted into a waiting room/lobby, following which they are
required to wait until the examiner admits the candidate at the start of the examination.
The Exam will be conducted one by one and admitted accordingly.
7. The candidate is also required to present the soft copy of Form 29, EXN Form & Admit
card to the examiner after he is admitted in the room.
8. It may be noted that the dress code for the candidate at the time of examination
is Formals.
9. The candidate is only allowed to appear using the video-conferencing software from land
and not when sailing onboard a vessel.
10 Any violation of the instructions required to be followed or any misconduct during the
examination may attract strict action as applicable under the applicable rules, which may
include cancellation of examination and debarment from appearing in the examination for a
specified period.
