CIR 1. In figure, 𝐴𝐵𝐶 is a circle centre 𝑂. The lines 𝐴𝐵 and 𝑂𝐶 are


parallel and ∠𝐴𝑂𝐶 = 124°.

Calculate, giving reasons, the size in degrees of ∠𝐵𝐶𝑂.

CIR 2. In figure, 𝐴𝐵𝐶𝐷 is a circle. 𝐴𝐵 is a diameter with 𝐵𝐶 = 𝐶𝐷. The

and ∠𝐵𝐴𝐷 = 70°.

PL 1. (a) Calculate the size, in degrees, of an exterior angle of a regular


pentagon. In figure 1, 𝐴𝐵𝐶𝐷𝐸 is a regular pentagon.
𝐴𝐸 is extended to the point 𝐹 such that 𝐷𝐹 is parallel to 𝐵𝐴.
(b) Show, giving reasons, the triangle 𝐷𝐸𝐹 is isosceles.

PL 2. (a) Show that the size of each interior angle of a regular pentagon is 108°. [2]
