Sell and Service Track

Self-Authorization Requirements

PROGRAM SNAPSHOT
SAP PartnerEdge is an integrated global program with four tracks: Build, Sell, Service, and
Run. The program is designed to recognize partners for their total business contribution within
one track or across multiple tracks. This flexibility allows you to build on the SAP PartnerEdge
program agreement, which can be adapted to your growth strategy by signing go-to-market-
specific agreements called schedules. Partners with multiple affiliates can also take advantage of
being recognized as a group for meeting some program requirements, by signing the new Partner
Grouping Agreement (PGA) that covers the parent company and all majority-owned affiliates.
See the “Getting Started” and “Requirements” sections in this guide.
Steps:
1. Register Your Company:
o Go to the SAP PartnerEdge website and register your company. This will include
providing company details and agreeing to the terms and conditions.
2. Sign the Partnership Agreement:
o Once your registration is reviewed and approved, you will receive the SAP
PartnerEdge agreement. Sign and return the agreement to finalize your enrollment in
the program.
3. Access the SAP Partner Portal:
o After becoming a registered partner, you will get access to the SAP Partner Portal,
where you can find resources and tools needed for the authorization process.
o Compliance training is highly recommended for partners during the onboarding period.
Please note that compliance training is mandatory for partners in the Sell track.

Program requirements: To ensure your partnership remains fully operational and prevent
termination of the partnership agreement, your organization needs to maintain the following on
an ongoing basis:
• Generic program entry requirements
• Program track requirements
Upon satisfactory completion of the program entry requirements, your organization will join the
SAP PartnerEdge program as an operational partner. Being operational means that you can
remain in the program with access to your membership benefits, using the SAP brand and partner
logos and go-to-market rights.

SAP Partner Portal.

Competency Framework:
Designations for the framework are global and help ensure SAP PartnerEdge partners have a
consistent baseline of certified solution consultants along with a proven track record of delivered
projects and other proficiency accomplishments.
Competencies consist of three progressive tiers – Essential, Advanced, and Expert – which can
display maturity in a solution or line of business. Specializations are not tiered and consist of a
designation that conveys a partner’s capabilities at the product or process level. Specializations
are necessary building blocks toward earning a solution competency.
