Welcome to the Technology and Livelihood Education 6 Project CAP-LRE

Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) Module on advanced features of a slide
presentation tool and movie making software to create a multimedia presentation.

This module was collaboratively designed, developed and reviewed by educators

both from public and private institutions to assist you, the teacher or facilitator in
helping the learners meet the standards set by the K to 12 Curriculum while
overcoming their personal, social, and economic constraints in schooling.

This learning resource hopes to engage the learners into guided and independent
learning activities at their own pace and time. Furthermore, this also aims to help
learners acquire the needed 21st century skills while taking into consideration their
needs and circumstances.

 What Is It

What is Multimedia?

Multimedia is a form of communication that combines different content forms such

as text, audio, images, animations, or video into a single presentation, in contrast to
traditional mass media, such as printed material or audio recordings. Popular
examples of multimedia include video podcasts, audio slideshows, animated shows,
and movies.

Multimedia Presentation –is a tool that does not simply use pictures, sounds, and
text but also uses the following helpful elements that will convey messages.
It is also an effective tool used in different fields such as business and
education. It allows faster and easier grasping of ideas and concepts.

A multimedia presentation tool includes:

 Video or Movie clip

 Animation

 Sound

Creating a Multimedia Presentation Using Advanced Features:

1. Click Microsoft Office Powerpoint to open the app.

2. As the app opens, you will be prompted to choose a theme. Click your
desired theme.

3. Choose a color and click create to apply the chosen color.

4. As the slide presentation page open, type your title in the text box and
subtitle in the subtitle box.

5. You can customize the font style as well as its size. You can change the
color as well as the background color in the format tab.

6. Add animation to the text by clicking the animation tab from the main menu.

7. Customize the animation by clicking on animation pane. Set the trigger,

effects options and timing.

8. Add another slide to place the graphics. Click insert tab from Menu. Images
or graphics that can be inserted may be taken from your saved pictures, clip-
art, screenshots or a photo album.

9. Click on picture to insert a photo file. Choose the file that you want to insert
on the slide.

10. Try adding a clip-art to the slide. Search and choose from a list of graphic clip
–art.

11. Move the clip-art within the slide.

12. Aside from pictures and clip-arts, you can also copy a screen image of
another opened file or a webpage by clicking on the screenshot icon.

13. Choose the open screen that you want to capture.

14. Add animation to the image by doing steps 6 and 7.

a. Adding hyperlink:

15. A hyperlink is an electronic link that allows computer user to move directly
from a marked place in a document to another or within the document. To add
link, use the hyperlink tab found in the insert menu.

16. To link an image or text to another slide in the document, click on the said
image/text, then insert hyperlink. Choose the highlighted icon. Then click on
the slide that you want to hyperlink to the image/text.

17. To link an image/text to a website, highlight or click on the image/text, then

insert hyperlink. Click on the URL in the Address page.

b. Embedding audio and /or video:

18. Embedding an audio or video file will help enhance your presentation. To do
that, simply choose from the Media tab.

19. Choose a video from your computer file and it will automatically be added to
your slide. To view the video, play “Slideshow”.

Using the Moviemaking
2 Software

Movie Maker is a software that allows you to create and edit videos. This program is
manufactured by Microsoft Windows and is available for free. Movie Makers is non-
linear editing software, which means that the original file that was placed on your
drive will not be modified. Movie Maker creates its own distinct video file while you
are editing, so that if you want, you can create several different movies using the
same footage. Various features of Movie Maker include the time line narration,
effects, audio track, transitions, titles and credits.

Best pieces of Video Editing Softwares:

Apple iMovie-I Movie’s ten

high – fidelity filters are some of the
classiest in the video editing game,
shooting on your iPhone, or have
editing a project on your iPad. You
can use Airdrop to wirelessly and
seamlessly transfer your project to

your Mac.

Lumen 5- markets itself as a tool that

turns blog post into social promos.

 Nero Video- one of the
cheaper options, holds its own on
this list-it comes well- stocked with a
lot of the tricks and effects you’ll find
among other products for video
editing supremacy.

Corel Video Studio- has all the

characteristics of the other top of the
line producst on this list, including 360
degree VR and 4K support, but it also
has the distinction of being the piece
of consumer video editing software
to offer motion tracking.

Filmora from Wondershare

- is about as multifaceted as they
come. Its standard, simple, high
quality video editing offering but also
offers Filmora Go (for mobile editing)
and Filmora Scrn (for Screen
Recording and Editing).

Using a Moviemaking Software to Create Multimedia Presentation.

Step 1. Launch a moviemaking software. Familiarize yourself with the movie

creator.

Step 2. Click on each Menu tab to find out the features of the moviemaker
software.

Step 3. Add pictures to the storyboard by clicking “Add videos and photos”

Step 4. Arrange the pictures according to the sequence you want them to
appear in the video. Click and drag the pictures to their appropriate
positions.

Step 5. You may click Play in the Preview Pane every now and then to check
on the changes made.

Step 6. Add a theme to your video which will automatically apply animation
and effects to your video.

Step 7. Add text to the video by clicking any of the icons and observe the
difference among the three. Customize the text.

Step 8. If you want to customize the effects and animation, click on

animation. Apply transitions and pan and zoom effect or all pictures.

Step 9. You can also add effects to any part of the video.

Step 10. Add music to enhance your video. Make sure that the music you will
use matches with the pictures or theme of your video.

Step 11. Once you have added the necessary effects, save your work for
future editing.

Step 12.Once you have finalized your project, you are ready to package it
into a file that can be played with different media players. Click the icon
“save movie” and select the appropriate format.
