Assessment in learning is a course that will help pre-service teachers approach
teaching in the process of gathering data to better understand the strengths and
weaknesses of each students. The authors believe that once pre-service teachers grasp
the essence of assessment, they will be able to improve teaching and learning upon
considering valuable information about student learning.

The course, PROFED_107: Assessment in Learning is equivalent to 3 units and is


expected to be completed x hours. It is one of the pre-requisites for your succeeding
Professional Education subjects and completion of degree program. This instructional
material consists of learning modules that will help students understand the nature and
fundamentals of assessment. A learning module is a self-paced material purposefully
made to implement learning within the homes of each student. In times of global crisis,
distance learning made possible through modules and online classes bridge the gap
between the learners and their lessons. We made this module to help you explore, enrich,
and reinforce your learning in the courses necessary to complete your chosen program.
As teachers, we are also facing the challenges of the New Normal. During this adjustment
period, we hope for your understanding and cooperation. If any content of this module
seems confusing, you may personally reach out to us teachers.
