Introduction to Prediction Studio

Prediction Studio is an authoring environment in which you can control the life cycle of
AI and machine learning models (such as model building, monitoring, and update).
From Prediction Studio, you can also manage additional resources, such as Data Sets,
taxonomies, and sentiment lexicons.

To access Prediction Studio, you must specify pxPredictionStudio as one of the portals
associated with your access group.

To prevent users from changing the configuration in a live system, Prediction Studio is
read-only in production environments. For special use cases, an administrator can grant
the read-and-write permissions to selected users. To do this, the administrator adds the
pyEditPredictionStudio privilege with production level 5 to the @baseclass of an access
role in the user's access group.

Specifying a repository for Prediction Studio models:

1. In the navigation pane of Prediction Studio, click Settings > Prediction Studio
settings.
2. In the Storage section, in the Analytics repository field, press the Down arrow
key, and then select a repository for the model data.

Enable creating and storing machine learning models in your application by specifying a
resilient repository for model training and historical data.

The model data is stored in the repository that you specified, in the nlpcontents/models
folder. For example,
nlpcontents/models/@baseclass/NLPSample/01-01-06/Int_1/trainingdata, where:

● @baseclass is the class name.

● NLPSample is the Ruleset.
● 01-01-06 is the Ruleset version.
● Int_1 is the model name.
● trainingdata is the name of the folder that contains the training data for text
analytics models.
