The Chapter Meets

DoMS Alumni Association (DAA) has existed for long but we recently inaugurated our
official logo. The inauguration was also one of the agendas of the Chapter meets held
at Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai. The Chapter meets help us maintain relationships with
our alumni, who without a doubt are a strength of this age old institution. DAA has
strived to maintain better relations with the alumni and to bring them close to each
other. The Chapter meets give rise to lasting relations among alumni as well as
between alumni and faculty. Various agendas are discussed at the Chapter meets and
opinion of alumni are worked upon. We are constantly trying to maintain our alumni
database and to keep them in touch with one another.

DoMS alumni from as far back as 1984 grace the alumni meets with their presence.
Some students from the current batch will also be present in the meet, allowing the
alumni to reminisce about their times in DoMS-NIT Trichy, and stay updated about the
current happenings in their alma mater. This is a golden opportunity for the current
students to establish a sound rapport with the B-school’s 36 year old alumni base.
Most of the alumni occupy the top echelons in esteemed companies like Volvo,
Genpact, Infosys etc. and their presence at the respective chapter meets allows us to
draw on the experience and knowledge of the alumni

In 2016-2017, the chapter meets were held at the following locations:

Chennai – March 2017


Hyderabad – February 2017
Bangalore – November 2016
Chennai – March 2016
Delhi – March 2016
Hyderabad – January 2016

The Batch Meets


As per DoMS traditions, the chapter meets are conducted annually with great
enthusiasm. The Chapter meets help us maintain relationships with our alumni, who
without a doubt are a strength of this ageold institution. DoMS Alumni Association
(DAA) has strived incessantly to maintain better relations with the alumni and to bring
them close to each other. The Chapter meets give rise to lasting relations among
alumni as well as between alumni and faculty. Chapter meet gives a golden
opportunity to students to interact and learn from the distinguished Alumni of this
Institute. Chapter meets helps in building new relationships and revive the old ones
among alumni network. Various agendas are discussed at the Chapter meets and
opinion of alumni are taken. The invaluable feedbacks and suggestions of the
experienced guests are sincerely worked upon. We are constantly trying to maintain
and update our alumni database which helps us to keep in touch with them. The most
recent chapter meets were conducted over three locations: Bangalore, Chennai and
Hyderabad.

2. Chapter meet facilitated the interaction of Alumni across batches, across industry
and across different business domains which overall made it a rich experience.
3. Few suggestions and feedback were given for betterment of department and
current batch.
4. Some of the them shared their experiences with memories associated with
DoMS and Faculty Members.
5. They shared their thoughts on networking and alumni connections.

2. Many of them showed interest in taking guest lectures on recent trends in Financial
risk, productions, Operations, and Entrepreneurships
3. Major suggetsions given was regarding conducting Management conclaves and
business fests.
4. The Alumni showed enthusiam in providing guidance via Mentorship
program.
5. Alumni shared corporate anecdotes in a live skype session with 39th batch of
DoMS.
