EXP 1 WORKING WITH IMAGE EDITING TOOLS

Date:

1.Install tools like GIMP|Inkspace|Krital Pencil & perform editing operations.

I. Use different selection and transform Look to modify or improve an image.

II. Create the logos and banners for homepages of websites.

Aim:

To use the different selection and transformation tools to modify or improve an


image.

1.Selection and Transformation:


Procedure

Selection Tool:

Selection tools are designed to select region from the active layer so you can
work on them.

There are seven selection tools:


1.Rectangle select.
2.Ellipse select.
3.Free select.
4.Select contiguous Regions.
5.Select by colour.
6.Select Shapes from Image.
7.Foreground select.
Choose the tool option and click the selection tool and choose the ellipse select.
Select
the half portion and select the half image.
Choose a new file by pressing

FileOpenOk.

The new file is open at the right side of the current file.

The File or the half image should be paste in the new file.

Transformation:

You can find it easily it easily in the toolbox panel or switch to it instantly with
the keyboard shortcut Shift+T
(command +T if you are using GIMP).The transformation tools are
1)Move 2) Scale 3) Rotate 4) Shear.
1)Shear:
 Go to the ToolsTransformationShear
 It is used to shift one part of an image ,a layer ,a selection or a path to a
direction and the other part to the opposite direction.
2)Scale:
 Go to the ToolsTransformationScale.
 Change the width and the height and enter readjust.
 The image scale or map scale as it is sometime called refers to the relative
different in size or distance between the image and the features represented on
the ground.
3)Rotate:
 Go to the ToolsTransformationRotate.
 The Rotate tool can rotate objects in the drawing. Double clicking the tool when
an object is selected opens the Rotate Object dialog box.
II. Logos and Banners:

Logos:

 It is a printed symbol or design that a company or organization uses as its


specific sign.
Go to the WindowsDocktable DesignSymmetry painting.

The options are given below:

 Choose Mandala and click the kalaidescope.


 Choose the number of points you needed.
 Click the dot or star for logo and click the paint box at the left.

Banners:

Banners are used primarily for an advertising purpose for an advertising


purpose to publicize the advertizer’s

Product or services.

 Go to the FileOpenImage and press enter.


 The image will be displayed on your screen.
 Choose the text box at the left(A).
 Drag the text box on the image.
 Change the font, colour and size of the text and write the contents inside the
text.

Date

Install tools like audacity / ardour for audio editing, sound mixing, special
effects like face in or fade out etc and perform audio compression by choosing
proper codec

Aim:

To Work with Audio Editing tools like audacity / ardour for audio editing,
sound mixing, special effects like face in or fade out etc

Procedure

Editing:

 Open Audacity, and file a file to edit

 Import the file to audacity

 Look at waveforms, they are in their original order. To edit it, we


must change the waveform

 Cut some waves from It or use fade out

Sound mixing:

 First, open audacity and select the music that you wish you to mix.

 We can mix multiple tracks in single mono or stereo track.

 Select tracks -> Mix -> Mix and Render which replaces the original
track with mixed track

Special effects

 Open Audacity and click on Effects.

 You may see two effects like fade in and fade out

 First choose the song you want to perform this operation.

Install tools like Open shot / Cinelerra / Handbrake.

i.Edit, mix video, remove noise, create special effects and captions.

ii.Compress and convert video file format to other popular format .

Aim:

To edit and mix the video content remove noise ,create special effects and
captions and compress convert the video file format to other popular format.

Procedure:

Special Effects:

In openshot,transition are represented by blue,rounded rectangles on the


timeline.They are automatically created when you overlap two clips,and can be
added manually by dragging one onto the timeline from the transitionpanel.

Steps:

1)Goto openshot and open project.

2)Select two songs and open it.

Cut: Select the first song and cut the half and

Paste: Paste in the second song.

Special effects:

The various special effects are

Alpha mask|Wipe transition


Bars
Blur
Brightness and Contrast
Caption

Openshot includes many video effects .Drag a video effect onto your clip and
adjust it properties .Adjust brightness ,gamma,hue and much more

Captions

Openshot also has an easy to use caption editor ,wher you can quickly insert
captions at the playhead position,or edit all your captions text in one place.

Steps:

1)To add subtitles to your videos in openshot ,start by importing the video file
once imported successfully,then drag and drop it to timeline

 After that ,move to the ‘Title’ tab above the toolbar .From
there,select the ‘Title’ option.

2)Compress and covert the video file format to other popular format:

Steps:

 Select a file format .Click on the first box and select the original
file format of your video then click on the box to it and select your
desired video format to convert .

 Upload and convert your video.Click on ‘Choose file’ and select


your video from your folders

3)Download and edit your video.


EX.NO 4 WORKING WITH WEB /MOBILE AUTHORING TOOLS.

I. Design simple Homepage with banners, logos, tables quick links ere.

ii. Provide a search interface and simple navigation from the homepage to the
inside pages of the website.

iii. Design Responsive web pages for use on both web and mobile interfaces.

Aim:

To work with web /mobile authoring tools such as Adapt, Blue Griffon,
Blue fish etc to perform the following operations.

Procedure:

1. Install the Blue griffon app on your PC and launch it.

2. For more optimised view open it as a new file and click on dual view.

3. In dual view, each and every change meddle in the code will get
reflected in the output within seconds.

4. For a simple homepage layout, write the specific html code in the right
window and your partial output will be visible at the left.

5. You can also save your project in the folder using file menu and then
click on save.

6. you can choose to your webpage by adding banners, logos, tables and
quick links

7. All of these can be implemented by writing a specified code for them


EX.NO 5 WORKING WITH ANIMATION TOOLS.

Date

Install tools like Krita, wick editor, blender

1. Perform simple 2D animation with sprites


2. Perform simple 3D animation with keyframes, kinematics.

Aim:

To work with Animation tools such as Krita , blender, and wick editor to
perform 2D and 3D animation.

Procedure:

2D animation:

1. Choose 2D animation workspace In blender is workspace selection


dropdown choose as animation.
2. Create a 2D object or import 2D object. In 2D animation click pencil to
draw an object or import an object by using File menu (short key SHIFT
+ A -> import -> reference -> select the object)
3. Select sculpt mode
Select sculpt mode in mode option.
4. Add keyframe
First set the keyframe in initial stage and by using mouse drags the object
which position you need.
And set the next keyframe and adjust the object to set next position.
5. Adjust timing.
Adjust the timeline at the bottom of workspace
Maximum 30 seconds for one keyframe
6. Export the animation
Finally export the given output

3D animation:

1. Open blender from desktop window


2. Choose general option from the popup shown
3. Select cube, light and camera and delete them.
4. After deleting create 3D model or download from free3d.com
5. After downloading the file , extract object from the archive.
6. After extracting just drag and drop the .blend object file inside blender.
7. If you download object in other file format, import it using files menu and
choose import
8. Switch to animation / layout from the top window.
9. Select the 3D model using select box tool
10. Select move option from left side tools and make movement to activate
the key frame
11. Move the keyf rame window as required for the 3D object and give
movements.
12. Click the space bar to play the animation
EX.NO 6 WORKING WITH MOBILE UI ANIMATION TOOLS

Date

Aim:

To work with mobile UI tools such as Canva/orgami studio/Lottie/Farmer

Procedure:

 The mobile ui animation is designed using canva website ==>canva.com

 Also can be used in mobile application which is available in play store.

 Sign in canva using your gmail.

 After opening canva search for a mobile ui template we can also create an
own template.

 Click a option "create a design" which is located top right of the


window.

 Choose the desired screen ratio according to your need.

 Here left side you can see some editing tools which are used to create and
modify a design.

 The "design" tab contains more template for editing you can also search
your desired template in there.

 We can add and edit some shapes using "elements" tab.

 Text tab is used for editing text, after adding text you can add animation
by clicking the "Animate" option.

 Draw tool is used for freehand drawing.

 After completing the project, you can upload using "Upload" tab.

Aim:

To work with E-Learning authoring tools such as Cam studio .VideoLAN

1.Demonstrate screen recording and further editing for e-learning content.

2.Create a simple E-Learning module for a topic of your choice.

Procedure:

Demonstrate screen recording and further editing for e-learning content.

1. Download and Install CamStudio:

Go to the CamStudio website (http://camstudio.org/), download the application.

2.Launch CamStudio on your computer.

3. Select Recording Area:

Click on "Region" in the menu and choose whether you want to record the full
screen or a specific region. Adjust the recording area accordingly.

4. Start Recording:

Click the red "Record" button to start capturing your screen. CamStudio will
begin recording the selected area.

5. Stop Recording:

Once you've demonstrated the content, click the stop button (square icon) on the
CamStudio interface to end the recording.

6. Save the Recording:

Save your recorded video by clicking on "File" and selecting "Save As." Choose
the location and file name for your recording.

7.Edit the Recording:

If you need to edit your recording, you can use video editing software like
Windows Movie Maker, Shotcut, or other tools. Import the recorded video,

8.Save Edited Video:

After editing, save the final video in your preferred format. Consider exporting
the video in a format compatible with your e-learning platform or converting it
to a widely supported format like MP4.

2.Create a simple E-Learning module for a topic of your choice.

1. Define Learning Objectives:

Understand the principles of sustainable living.

2. Choose an Authoring Tool:

Select Articulate Storyline for its interactive features.

3. Storyboarding:

Create a storyboard outlining the structure, including slides, interactive


elements, and assessments.

4. Content Creation:

Build the module by adding slides with content on sustainable living, including
text, images, and short descriptions for each sub-topic.

5. Multimedia Integration:

EX.NO 8 CREATING VR AND AR APPLICATIONS

Date

Aim:

To create any affordable VR viewer like Google Cardboard and any


development platform like openspace 3D/ARCore etc

Procedure for creating VR application

 Open unity .

 Create new project and choose template 3d.

 Download GVR SDK for unity from github.

 and drag and drop the downloaded plugin in project scene folder then
click import.

 Then click file -> build settings then click add open scenes option and
switch to android platform.

 Then click player settings and choose player then tick the virtual reality
support which is located under the XR SETTINGS also add cardboar
feature by pressing the +symbol.

 THEN remove the vulkan graphics from graphics api settings.

 Right click on the hierarchy window and create a plane and a cube then
adjust the camera.

 In project window search for emulator then there is a file called


GvrEditorEmulator then drag the file into the hierarchy window.

 Then create a empty object and rename it yourself and drag the main
camera into the newly created empty object and reset its position and
finally adjust the camera to get a perfect view.

 In the project windows search for GvrRecticle and drag the file in the
main camera then look for GvrEventSystem drag this file alsoin the main
camera.

 In the inspector window click add component and search for gvrpointer
then choose gvr pointer raycaster.

 After creating the project to build the app.

 Click file tab then choose build settings then click build and run.

*First open the unity hub app, then click new project and choose 3D core then
click create project.

*Then click files tab choose build settings then in the platform section click the
android and choose switch platform.

 Then click player setting which is in the same window and click the
other settings and search for color space then change the colorspace to
gamma then search for scripting backend and change to ill2cpp and
turn on the arm64 option and also untick the auto graphics .

 Then click the window tab and choose package manager then click the
packages and switch to unity registry then search for AR foundation
and google arcore and install those two plugins.

 In the hierarchy windows there is a main camera delete the camera then
right click and choose XR->XR ORIGIN then right click choose XR-
>AR session

 Then drag and drop the 3d model in the hierarchy window.

After completing the scene then go to file tab choose build setting
thenclick the add open scenes to get build the app.

Then go to player setting click XR Plug-in Management then right side tick
the google arcore then close the windows

 then build ,After building install the app in android mobile ...
