Assignment: Empathy Through Animation

Objective: To foster empathy and understanding of the impact of


bullying through the creation of a short animated film.

Task:

1. In a group of 2 students.

2. Research: Spend the next two hours researching the experiences of


individuals who have been bullied. Use reliable sources such as books,
articles, or documentaries. Consider the following questions:

o How does bullying make someone feel?

o What are the long-term effects of bullying?

o What can be done to prevent and stop bullying?

3. Develop a character: Create a fantasy character who is being


bullied. Consider their personality, interests, and the type of bullying
they experience.

4. Write a script: Write a short script (approximately 2-3 minutes long)


from the perspective of your character. Focus on their emotions,
thoughts, and experiences.

5. Create a storyboard: Visually plan your animation by creating a


series of drawings that represent the key scenes in your script.

6. Animate: Use animation software to bring your storyboard to life.

7. Present the video is other classes.

 Length: 3 minutes

 Language: English

 Perspective: The animation should be told from the perspective of


the bullied individual.

 Message: The animation should convey a clear message about the


impact of bullying and the importance of empathy.
