Topic: Dictation.
Cycling organisms
Ecosystem molecules
Nitrogen fossil
Essential concentration
Immediately proteins
Topic :Question /Answer .
Question :1
The Water cycle.
Answer. Water cycle describes how the water moves between Erath’s surface and
atmosphere .liquid water evaporates into water vapours , condenses to form clouds and
precipitates back to earth in the form of rain .
Question;2
Write a notes on the carbon cycle. Draw to explain.
Answer:
The carbon cycle describes the process in the atmosphere to the Earth and then back
Carbon cycle consist of four processes.
1)Photosynthesis ;
In this process plants form their food by absorbing the atmospheric carbon in the form of
CO2 .
2) Respiration:
In this process plants and animals respire, resulting in breakdown of glucose stored in the
plant and animals to release CO2.
3) Decomposition:
In this process dead plants and animals decomposed and release carbon into environment.
4) Combustion:
Burning of fossil fuels release Co2 gas into the environment.
Question:3
Write a note on the nitrogen Cycle.
Answer:
This process begins with nitrogen absorption from the soil, and plants. Then animals
became dead various bacteria decompose them continuous exchange of nitrogen is Known
as nitrogen cycle.
Question:4
Explain the effect of human on the carbon cycle.
Answer:
Human affect the carbon cycle by burning fossil, fuels and cutting down the tress –vehicles
and factories produced a lot of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
Question: 5
Explain the closing of the nitrogen cycle.
Answer;
Dead animals and plants release nitrogen back to the soil with the help of
decomposers .After that decomposers have returned the nitrogen to the soil , other
bacteria transform it into nitrogen gas , which returns it to the atmosphere .
Unit:8 Atmosphere and Climate Zones of Pakistan
Topic:Dic/words.
Enveloped ultraviolet
Gravity mesosphere
Variable troposphere
Meteoroids Ozone
Radiation stratosphere
Question:1
What is the atmosphere? What are its constituents?
Answer:
The Erath is enveloped by a vast ocean of air .This ocean of air is called
atmosphere .Atmosphere is divided into two group of constituents .
1)Permanent
2)variable
Question :
Answer :
The lowest layer of the atmosphere is called ,the troposphere . It is the layer in which we
live .All the Earth’s weather is due to live . All the Earth’s Weather is due to the
troposphere . the Height of this layer is about 17 km .90% of the water vapour exist in this
layer that make clouds.
Question :
Answer: Ozone acts as a shield for he earth’s Surface .It blocks all the ultraviolet rays of the
sun from reaching the earth’s surface . This ozone layer lies in stratosphere.
Question:
Answer:
Ionosphere :it is the lower part of the thermosphere , which extends from 80 km to 550 km
from the surface of the Earth. The size of the ionosphere depend s on the amount of
ultraviolet radiation from the sun .
Exosphere :
The upper thermosphere is called exosphere .The exosphere extends from 550 km above
the Erath surface to thousands of km In the exosphere artificial satellites orbit the Earth .
The exosphere is the last layer before space.
Question:
Answer :
Climate is a generalization of the day – to day weather conditions a longer period of
time ,usually thirty years . The climate of an area is determined by a variety of
factors .These factors include temperature, rain ,latitude ,wind patterns and ocean
currents .
Question:
Answer:
The climatic division of Pakistan are :
1)Highland climate
2) lowland climate
3)coastal climate
4)Arid climate
Question :
Answer:
This region consists of land along the whole of the sea all the years long . It there fore has
warm summers and mild winters . where as Karachi and the eastern coast receive rainfall
in the monsoon season.
Unit:9 Landforms
Topic :Dic\words
Physical tectonic
Explosive magma
Erosion volcano
Gravity continental
Crust crack
Question:1
Answer
Landforms
Landforms are single physical features in landscapes that give the lad its general shape and
look .Two different kinds of natural forces create landforms . one force is inside the earth
landforms . one force is inside the earth . The other forces are on the surface of the earth.
Question:2
Answer:
There are four different kinds mountains.
1)folded mountains
2)Fault –block mountains
3)Dome mountains
4)volcanic mountains
1)Folded Mountains
Folded mountains are formed when tectonic forces press against the earth’s crust.
2)Fault –block Mountains:
Fault –block mountains are made when two plates slide past each other and make breaks
in the Earth ‘s crust.
3)Dome mountains :
Dome mountains are made when the earth’s crust is pushed up by one plate sliding under
another plate.
Volcanic Mountains:
When one plate slides under another , volcanoes may form .Lava and ash pile up in layers
on the surface . of the earth ,forming a volcanic mountains .
Question:5
Answer :
These forces include weathering , erosion, mass movement and deposition.
Weathering:The break down of rock and soil is called weathering
Erosion: wearing away of the earth’s surface is called erosion.
Mass movement: Another force on the surface of the earth is called mass movement. It is
the natural motion of rock and soil.
Deposition: Deposition or setting down of rock and soil in a new area due to other agents of
erosion is called deposition.
Question#7
Answer: The hollowed-out area at the top of a volcano is called a creator.
