How to calculate the power of eRRU3232

Publication Date: 2017-10-24

Issue Description
The customer wants to know about the difference between the power of RRUs.

The first RRU: FunctionModule,eRRU3232,WD5MPSRB1C0,Multi-mode Multi-carriers Remote Radio Unit (TX3600-3800MHz/RX3600-3800MHz,4T4R,With

installation kits,SP) which accepts 10W per port.

The second RRU: FunctionModule,eRRU3232,WD5MPSRB1CA,Multi-mode Multi-carriers Remote Radio Unit (TX3670-3700MHz/RX3670-

3700MHz,4T4R,With installation kits) which accepts 8Ws per port.

These values are not the same because the customer ordered different equipment
configuration.

This result is based on the formula for the output power:

Solution
The see the PA value you need to list the below parameters with the LST CELLDLPCPDSCHPA
command:
To list PA parameters related to PDSCH power control for the cell with
Local cell identity of 0, run the following command:
LST CELLDLPCPDSCHPA: LocalCellId=0;
The result is shown as follows:

O&M #806384666
%%LST CELLDLPCPDSCHPA: LocalCellId=0;%%
RETCODE = 0 Operation succeeded.

Local cell ID Indicates the local ID of the cell. It uniquely identifies a cell within a BS.

PA adjusting switch Indicates the switch for adjusting the PA through power control on the PDSCH. If this p

PA for even power Indicates the PA to be used when PA adjustment for PDSCH power control is disabled

distribution(dB) used for the PDSCH.

PA for PTP User(dB) Indicates the PA used for PDSCH power control.

PA for Video User(dB) Indicates the PA value used in a Video. A proper PA setting helps power control for vid

So if the RS configuration 122, then it is 7.5 (watts)

If RS is configured for 134, it is 10 (watts)
