2. Overview
• Risk management is a necessary activity not only for production and business activities but
also in daily life. Effective risk management will help Enterprises in particular and each of us
in general be more proactive in responding to possible bad situations, thereby limiting
unfortunate losses.
• The Risk Management module will equip learners the most basic contents relating to risk
management activities such as principles in risk management, especially steps in the risk
management process from identification, measurement, control to risk financing. Some
specific risks such as operational risk, exchange rate risk, investment risk, etc. are also
introduced in the module so that learners have more specific understanding and experience in
risk management for these objects.
3. Module Objectives
3.1. About the knowledge
• Understand and know qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques to assess risks of
Enterprises.
• Understand and know how to build a program to control and risk financing for Enterprise;
• Know and understand the types of Risks that Enterprises will encounter in business
operations.
• Understand and know how to analyse, build and design Risk prevention methods for
Enterprises.
3.2. About skills
• Have skill in Risk identification, analysis, control and Risk financing;
• Have the skills to recognize and proactively respond to Risks in life and business operations;
• Have ability to organize business plans.
3.3. Self – control ability and responsibility
• Have entrepreneurial spirit and responsibility in work;
• Have a professional working style;
• Ethics in business.
5. Method of Instruction
- Lecturer uses textbooks and projectors to deliver the lecture;
- Lecturer interacts with students & guide students to analyse and explain their arguments.
- Lecturer assigns practice exercises and problems related to the subject.
- Students must focus on self-study, prepare lessons, research reference materials
- Students must do homework on Moodle, or homework requested (Homework assignment)
- Students must build the lessons by individual or team (Classroom collaboration)
