My karate coach would underline all my practice sessions with Bruce Lee's famous quote that
said one should 'fear the person who practised one kick 10,000 times rather than the person
who practised 10,000 kicks just once'. I nailed that approach whenever important life
decisions were to be made. With a fascination for technology, I successfully practised the
right 'moves' that allowed me to acquire the necessary skills in Artificial Intelligence and
Software Engineering.
From the nascent stages of my technical education in 2020, during the second year of my
diploma in computer engineering, to my current role as a technology innovator and project
leader, my journey has been defined by a relentless pursuit of knowledge and application in
the field of technology. With each project and each challenge, I have not only honed my skills
but have also cultivated a profound appreciation for the potential of technology to solve
complex real-world problems. As I seek to deepen my expertise and broaden my impact,
pursuing a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence represents the next critical step in my
professional development, enabling me to specialise in areas that combine Artificial
Intelligence and Information Systems to address significant societal challenges.
My formal introduction to the world of technology began with foundational courses in web
development, Java, and Python. These were not merely academic exercises; they were crucial
in building my capabilities to engage effectively in competitive settings such as national level
hackathons. Here, I not only showcased my burgeoning skills but also earned multiple
accolades, affirming my potential in the technological realm. This period was pivotal as it
allowed me to transition from theoretical concepts to practical applications, leading to the
development of innovative solutions for local businesses.
At Fr. Conceicao Rodrigues College of Engineering, I not only expanded my technical skills
but also embraced significant leadership roles that came with substantial responsibilities. In
my academic pursuits, I mastered key subjects including Software Engineering, where I
learned about development lifecycles and best practices, Computer Networks, which
provided insights into data communication systems, Artificial Intelligence, which offered a
foundation in algorithms and machine learning techniques, and Database Management
Systems, where I gained expertise in database design and SQL. Beyond academics, I initiated
projects like the development of InfraLabs, a QR code-based system designed to enhance
accessibility to lab equipment information. This system revolutionised how students and
faculty interacted with lab resources, significantly enhancing operational efficiency.
Demonstrating further leadership, I spearheaded the revival of the college’s developer
community by assuming the role of Google Developer Student Club lead. In this capacity, I
led a team of 27 individuals, orchestrating workshops, tech talks, and organising two major
national hackathons. Our efforts culminated in receiving the Best Technical Council award
from IIC CRCE, marking a significant achievement in fostering a vibrant tech community at
our college.
Beyond academia, I engaged in significant projects that had extensive impacts, notably in
developing a comprehensive management system for Mumbai University. This system
managed data for over 900 colleges, encompassing teacher profiles and examination details,
thus streamlining operations and enhancing the efficiency of educational administration.
Another pivotal project involved creating a tracking system for examination answer books,
which improved the reliability and efficiency of exam processing and results dissemination
within the university network.
