Please note!
Poor quality fuel, engine oil in the combustion chambers, or improper air-fuel
ratio cause contamination of the exhaust gas recirculation valve, which leads to
its malfunctioning.
1 Check your car repair manual for where your EGR valve is located and what components you need to remove to
access the valve in order to detach it for cleaning or replacement.
Important!
In some cars, the valve is not blocked by other parts. In others, it's necessary to
remove the engine cover, the throttle body, and the air filter hose and housing.

3 Detach the electrical connector, hoses, and pipes from the valve body.
5 Using a cloth and the cleaner, remove dirt from the valve mounting seat.

AUTODOC recommends:
Use a torque wrench to tighten the fasteners and be sure to apply the tightening
torque specified by the car manufacturer.
8 Reattach all connectors, hoses, and pipes; reinstall all parts that were removed.
10 Clear the diagnostic trouble codes and adapt the EGR valve according to the procedure specified by the car
manufacturer.
