    C-MagSys Demo Installation Guide

    C-MagSys demo version is only installed at 1 pc or laptop.

    The following are files used for this installation:

    1. CMagSysSetup<ver>Demo.exe
    2. FlashPlayer10.exe
    3. MySqlODBC518x32.msi
    4. MySqlSetup32bit.exe or MySqlSetup64bit.msi
    5. SQLyog525.exe (or newer version)
    6. CMagSysBckp<ver>.sql
    7. TVClient.exe

    Download all files from: www.sistemklinik.com.my/demo

    Pre-requisites for Installation


    1. Check the Windows version, 32-bit or 64-bit version.

    Installation steps for C-MagSys server PC:


    1. Install MySQL database - MySqlSetup.exe (if 64 bit, use the 64 bit version)
    2. Add port for MySQL
    3. Install SQLyog - SQLyog525.exe
    4. Import C-MagSys Database - CMagSysBckp.sql
    5. Install ODBC for MySQL - MySqlODBC518x32.msi
    6. Configure the MySQL ODBC
    7. Install C-MagSys - CMagSysSetup.exe
    8. Copy TVClient .exe to desktop

    Note: Print this page as your checklist during the installation

    MySQL Installation

    Note 1: If Windows Vista, please disable the UAC first before performing MySQL installation. Refer to the
    last section of “Add Port for MySQL” for steps of doing this (page 13).

    Note 2: Please check the version of the Windows, if 64 bit Windows, please use 64 bit version of MySql
    installation file.

    1. Double-click MySqlSetup.exe to start MySql installation. You will be guided by a wizard to


    perform this entire process. Choose the setting as shown in the following screens.

    2. Click “Next”

    5. Installation is in progress.

    6. Click “Next” – skip the Sign-up process

    7. Click “Finish”

    8. Click “Next” – continue to configure the MySQL service

    9. Choose “Detailed Configuration” and click “Next”

    10. Choose “Server Machine” and click “Next”

    11. Click “Next”

    12. Installation path – you may also choose other drive to install MySQL. Click “Next” to proceed.

    13. Click “Next”

    14. Click “Next”– let the port number to be 3306.

    15. Click “Next”

    16. Click “Next”

    17. Enter password and re-confirm. Make sure you write down this password for ODBC
    configuration later on. Click “Next” to proceed.

    18. Finalizing the installation.

    19. Complete.

    Install ODBC Connector

    1. Double-click on the MySqlODBC518x32.msi to start the installation wizard. Follow the


    instructions given in order to complete this process.

    Note: Screen capture here is based on version 3.51 and it is the same steps as version 5.18.

    2. Click “Next” to proceed.

    Configure the ODBC for MySQL (32 bit Windows)

    1. Go to Windows Administrative Tools and open ODBC Datasource Administrator wizard

    2. Click “Add” to open a new screen

    3. Select MySQL ODBC 5.18 Driver (you must perform this connector installation first – step 4 in C-
    MagSys installation)

    4. Provide all details for cmagsys database connection. You can change the “Server”, “User” and
    “Password” accordingly. Provide “cmagsys” for “Data Source Name”.

    Put “localhost” for the “Server” parameter.

    Enter “root” for the “User” field. For the “Password” field enter the password you set during the
    MySql database setup.

    5. Click “Test” to test the connection.


    6. Click “Ok” to complete.

    Configure the ODBC for MySQL (64 bit Windows)

    1. Open C:\Windows\SysWoW64 folder


    2. Find and double-click the Odbcad32.exe
    3. The same ODBC Data Source administrator window will appear.
    4. Configure the data source as above instructions.

    Install SQLyog

    1. Double-click the SQLyog525.exe (or any new SQLyog installation package) to start the installation
    wizard. Follow the wizard instructions to complete the installation.

    2. Click “Next”.

    3. License agreement. Click “Next” to proceeed.

    4. Click “Next”.

    5. Default installation path. You may choose other folder if you wish to.

    6. Installation is in progress.

    7. Installation completed.

    Import C-MagSys Database Backup

    1. Start SQLyog application. Use Start menu or desktop shortcut to launch the SQLyog.

    2. Enter the pc server details and the password you set during MySQL installation. Click “Connect”
    to proceed.

    3. From the menu bar at the top, click “DB” and choose “Restore from SQL Dump” (menu caption
    may vary due to different version of SQLyog).
    4. Browse to locate the “CMagSysBckp.sql” file which contains the dump file for initial database
    setup for C-MagSys application. Click “Execute” to proceed.

    5. Once completed, click “Close”.

    C-MagSys Installation

    1. Double-click CMagSysSetup.exe to start the installation wizard.

    2. Enter password for the installation and click “Next”.

    3. Click “Next”.

    4. License agreement. Please read and click “Yes” if you agree to install.

    5. System information. Click “Next” to proceed.

    6. Customer information. Enter the serial number and click “Next”.

    7. Installation folder. You may choose other folder if required.

    8. Program folder at Start Menu.

    9. Installation is in progress.

    10. Installation completed.

    C-MagSys installation is now complete.
