BAR COUNCIL OF THE STATE OF TELANGANA: HYDERABAD.

INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING ENROLLMENT

* Submission of Applications ->Monday & Tuesday ->2-30 P.M. to 5-


00 P.M.

1. A person who is otherwise qualified to be an advocate, but is


either in full or part-time service or employment or is engaged in
any trade, business or profession shall not be admitted as an
advocate.

2. The candidates who are intending to enroll themselves as


advocates can download the application form the official website
of the Bar Council of the State of Telangana, print it on Ledger
Paper Only (Green Paper) and submit filled up applications
along with the necessary certificates on any Monday / Tuesday
from 2-30 P.M. to 5-00 P.M. The Enrolment of candidates will be
done on the date fixed by the Bar Council, after verification of all
Educational Certificates by the concerned Boards / Universities.

3. PAYMENT TO BE MADE
(1) General Category: -

An amount of Rs.750/- is to be paid towards Enrolment Fee,


out of which an amount of Rs. 600/- (Rupees Six Hundred Only) is
payable to the Bar Council of Telangana and 150/- (Rupees one
hundred and Fifty only) is payable to the Bar Council of India under
sec. 24 (1) (f) of the Advocates’ Act, 1961.
(2) SC & ST Category: -
An amount of Rs. 125/- is to be paid towards Enrolment Fee
out of which an amount of Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred Only)
is payable to the Bar Council of Telangana and an amount of
Rs.25/- (Rupees Twenty-five only) is payable to the Bar Council
of India under sec. 24 (1) (f) of the Advocates’ Act, 1961.
Necessary Caste Certificates from Revenue Officials not below
the rank of M.R.O. to be enclosed in Original.
The Bank receipts shall be enclosed to the Application for
Enrolment.
4. An Identity card will be issued on submission of one passport-
size colour photograph (without robes) after taking the oath.

5. The following certificates are to be enclosed.

All self attested photo copies and the originals of all


certificates shall be produced along with the enrollment
application for the purpose of scrutiny.
A. Date of Birth Certificate: Photo copy of S.S.C. or its equivalent
B. Intermediate or it’s equivalent: Photo copy of pass certificate –
cum – Memorandum.
C. Graduation (Degree): Photo copy of Degree
(Convocation/Original Degree) certificate and
Bonafide Certificate.
D. Law: Photo copy of Law Degree (Convocation/Original Degree)
certificate for candidates enrolling after a period of 3 or more
years from completion of Law Course and for others the Original
Provisional Certificate with Photo copy.
E. Caste Certificate Original copy: For applicants belonging to
SC/ST
6. If any Applicant comes under the following categories, they
shall upload the respective Affidavit.
a) Applicant having more than 3 years gap in studies from
SSC to the date of submission of application shall file GAP
Affidavit on Rs.20/- Non-Judicial Stamp paper.

b) Applicants involved in Criminal Cases shall furnish the


details in Affidavit format along with the relevant documents
i.e. FIR/Charge-Sheet etc., on Rs.20/- Non-Judicial Stamp
paper.
c) Service Candidates shall upload following documents
along with Service Affidavit stating the Service particulars on
Rs.20/- Non-Judicial Stamp paper.

7. Photo copy of Retirement and Relieving Order in case of


persons retired from service. Applicants who studied Law while in
service shall submit the following documents:
o A. Permission letter from the employer to study law.
o B. T.C. from law college.
o C. Certificate of proof of working place (s) during the study period
of Law.
o D. Reliving Order.
8. Two passport-size colour photographs.
9. Certificates of other qualifications acquired if any.
10. Page No.7, Certificate of Good Moral Character I & II shall be
filled and signed by two Advocates / Gazetted Officers not being
relatives of the applicants, by mentioning their Enrolment
Number or in case of Gazetted Officer, his/her Designation with
seal.
11. Page No.8, to be signed by an Advocate whose Seniority is
not less than 5 years and to mention the Name, Enrolment
Number and Address of the Advocate, who intends to introduce
the applicants.
12. The Digital photograph at Page No.3, shall be attested by an
Advocate / Gazetted Officer.
13. On the day of enrolment, the candidates shall wear a white
dress, black coat, black shoes, and black tie. Lady applicants
shall wear a white Saree / Churidar and black coat.

NOTE FOR THE CANDIDATES WHO INTEND TO ENROLL AS


ADVOCATES

Enrolment applications have to download from the website of Bar


Council of the State of Telangana and submit the filled-up
applications along with two copy sets of educational certificates
will be on Monday & Tuesday between 2.30 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.

After submission of forms, all Educational Certificates will be sent


to the concerned Boards / Universities for verification of
genuineness. Thereafter, candidates will be informed of the date
of Enrolment, on which date, they shall appear in person.
