Expressing Feelings, Macam-macam Perasaan dalam Bahasa Inggris

Ketika merasa senang, kita menunjukkan ekspresi tersenyum bahagia. Saat merasa sedih,
ekspresi wajah kita berubah menangis. Dalam bahasa Inggris, momen ketika kita
menunjukkan perasaan kepada orang lain, disebut expressing feelings. Dilansir dari situs The
Free Dictionary, expressing feelings adalah bentuk ekspresi perasaan secara verbal maupun
nonverbal kepada orang lain. Jika menyampaikannya secara verbal, berarti kita
menyampaikannya kepada orang lain lewat ungkapan kata-kata. Sebaliknya, ekspresi non-
verbal ditunjukkan lewat ekspresi wajah, sikap, atau tindakan kita kepada orang lain.

Macam-macam perasaan dalam Bahasa Inggris

Berikut jenis expressing feelings:

Happy : Senang
Sad : Sedih
Angry : Marah
Afraid : Takut
Upset : Marah
Jealous : Cemburu atau iri
Dissappointed: Kecewa

Berikut beberapa contoh kalimat expressing feelings:
Happy: Senang
I am happy today, my cousin from Jambi comes to my home. (Aku sangat senang
hari ini, sepupuku dari Jambi datang ke rumahku).
Sad: Sedih
You look so sad, come on Rara, forget the sorrow moment soon. Everything going to
be okay. (Kamu terlihat sangat sedih, lupakanlah kejadian buruk itu. Segalanya akan
baik-baik saja).

Angry: Marah
Father looks angry to me because I come home late. (Ayah terlihat sangat marah
kepadaku, karena aku terlambat pulang).

Afraid: Takut
Really, I am afraid of dark. Please turn on the lamp. (Sungguh, aku sangat takut
kegelapan. Tolong hidupkan lampunya).
Upset : Sedih
I was upset because I got really bad score on English lesson. (Saya sangat sedih
karena mendapat nilai buruk pada mata pelajaran bahasa Inggris).
Jealous: Cemburu atau iri
They are jealous of him because he always be the winner on Jambi singing contest.
(Mereka iri kepadanya, karena dia selalu menjadi juara dalam Kompetisi Menyanyi
Jambi).
Dissappointed: Kecewa
I am dissappointed of you. (Aku kecewa kepadamu).
Nervous: Gugup
Oh my God, I feel really nervous to face this exam. (Oh Tuhanku, aku sungguh
gugup menghadapi ujian ini).
