    Statement of Purpose

    SHIVANI BODDU
    MS in Applied Computer Science
    Northwest Missouri State University

    I am 25 years young and passionate aspiring computer and Applied Computer


    Science professional, I am Shivani Boddu born in a town called Karimnagar
    Telangana India, I have completed my primary and secondary education in my
    home town and later moved to Hyderabad to pursue my undergraduate
    education and as a student I have secured top scores throughout my education,
    as we are living in the modern age of computers and internet, we hardly can
    imagine the things that we can do without internet and computing, the
    technological enhancements we are noticing these days are plummeted to the
    peak at its own pace, this modern era of AI, Information Technology, Applied
    Computer Science, Medical, Engineering almost every business in the market
    now are strongly tied up with the computers and its applications, as a kid I
    used to listen to the stories about how things used to be without computers
    and now it’s all changed and there are lot of dependencies on the computers,
    software’s and what not, I have keen observation on every single details that
    we as a human do with the help of gadgets, devices and other utilities and ever
    since I was a kid I developed interest on computers, When I reflect on my
    academic career to this point in my life, I get the distinct impression that I have
    been pressed for time. I've always had a strong enthusiasm for computer
    science, and I also discovered that there are many activities available in the
    field that let you express your creative side. As the years passed, I came to
    appreciate the potential of the computer and Applied Computer Science fields
    and decided that obtaining an MS in Applied Computer Science would help me
    achieve my overall professional goals. To launch a fulfilling career in my
    passion, I'm applying for admission to the Northwest Missouri State University'
    MS in Applied Computer Science programme in the US.

    As I already quoted earlier regarding the academic scores, I have been a


    consistent performer and I have completed my Schooling from St. John’s
    School with an impeccable 9.2 CGPA post my schooling I joined Alphores
    Junior college and secured 9.2 CGPA and I joined Bhoj Reddy Engineering
    college for Women and secured 7.0 CGPA, while doing so I was highly
    motivated by an idea of preparing myself years in advance to pave footpaths
    into Electrical, Electronic, Computers and Information systems. My
    undergraduate degree was a treasure trove of information as I equipped myself
    with the fundamental aspects of hardware computing, Software’s and Applied
    Computer Science. My interests in coding and programming languages along
    with the analytical thinking became manifold and coupled with the practical
    coursework that I undertook during this tenure helped me to reinforce my
    understanding as well as stay updated about the latest developments in this
    field of computers, Information Technology and Applied Computer Science.
    Through various projects at college and my participation in several events like
    Tech fest etc and attended several workshop like BRECW conducted by Mat
    Lab Software, I also enhanced my analytical and logical skills and owing to my
    strong mathematical, electrical and computers background, I was able to
    perform exceptionally well in the areas of statistics, calculus, Hardware, chip
    level code and the control of the hardware with the help of core software’s in
    bit and byte level. Further, I was instrumental in executing programs and
    applications in C, C++, Java, and Python for conceptual competitions in Applied
    Computer Science. I have completed the basics of Applied Computer Science
    course from Course Era and I got placed in Amazon Development Centre as a
    Resolution specialist and laddered up to Process specialist in a span of two
    years. With this experience and exposure towards computers I would like to
    open my wings to fly high in my career aspirations.

    Apart from academic, experience I have participated in several competitions


    Inter school elocution and stood first and represented college in Inter school
    basketball competition, gathering knowledge in the academic spectre, I have
    been part and parcel of many extracurricular activities conducted at college
    and competition conducted at different universities and in pursuit of new
    experiences, each of the events pushed me to explore my abilities to its
    maximum and I conquered the horizons of learning. I am prepared to adapt to
    new situations and people through the MS in Applied Computer Science
    program at Northwest Missouri State University.

    I consider the opportunity to pursue the course at Northwest Missouri State


    University, US a privilege that I will always work hard to earn and deserve.
    Being a part of the academic community of the university is an honour. I will
    promise to fully use this one-time opportunity in my life possible.
