Math 9 DLP Day 14
Math 9 DLP Day 14
Math 9 DLP Day 14
Objectives must be met over the week and connected to the curriculum standards. To meet the
objectives, necessary procedures must be followed and if needed, additional lessons, exercises and
remedial activities may be done for developing content knowledge and competencies. These are
I. OBJECTIVES assessed using Formative Assessment Strategies. Valuing objectives support the learning of content
and competencies and enable children to find significance and joy in learning the lessons. Weekly
objectives shall be derived from the curriculum guides.
B. Performance Standards The learner is able to investigate analyse, and solve problems involving
parallelograms and triangle similarity through appropriate and accurate
representation.
Learning Objectives:
C. Learning Competencies/
Objectives 1. State the Midline Theorem
2. Apply the Midline Theorem to solve problems involving triangles
3. Show patience and perseverance in applying the Midline Theorem to solve
problems involving triangles
A. References
3. Textbook pages
4. Additional Materials
from Learning Resource
(LR) portal
IV. PROCEDURES These steps should be done across the week. Spread out the activities appropriately so that
pupils/students will learn well. Always be guided by demonstration of learning by the pupils/ students
which you can infer from formative assessment activities. Sustain learning systematically by providing
pupils/students with multiple ways to learn new things, practice the learning, question their learning
processes, and draw conclusions about what they learned in relation to their life experiences and
previous knowledge. Indicate the time allotment for each step.
The teacher asks the students to give a recap of what transpired the previous

or presenting the new
lesson
Possible answer: The Midline Theorem
The teacher will divide the class into 5 groups. He/ She will request everyone to
be with their group mates. The groups will be asked to answer Activity no. 12: Go
for It! found on page 329 of the Learner’s Module. Each group will be assigned
one item to solve. They will pick a number (from 1-5) from their teacher and will
solve the particular item of Activity no. 12 that is assigned to them.
C. Presenting examples/
After 10 minutes, each group will be asked to write their answers on a manila
instances of the new
paper provided by the teacher. They will be tasked to assign somebody from the
lesson
group to report their answers in front of the class.
Reporting will follow through. Each group will be given 2-3 minutes to explain
their answers to the whole class. After every reporter, the learners (audience) will
be given time to ask questions or clarifications to the one reporting or to anyone
from the group assigned to answer the particular item.
D. Discussing new concepts The teacher discusses with the students the process of arriving at the answers of
and practicing new skills each item in Activity 12.

Answer Key:
F. Developing mastery
(leads to formative
assessment 3)
G. Finding practical
applications of concepts
and skills in daily living
The teacher gives her input on the items presented by each group. He/ She then
summarize the day’s important points on the Midline Theorem. The teacher will
also let learners give their generalizations about the Midline Theorem.
H. Making generalizations
and abstractions about
The Midline Theorem:
the lesson
“The segment that joins the midpoints of two sides of a triangle is parallel to the
third side and half as long.”
I. Evaluating Learning
1. If FO is 55 mm, what is AR?
15
2. If RA is 4 inches, what is OF?
Answer Key:
15
1. 27.5 mm 2. 2 or 7.5 inches
J. Additional activities or The teacher will let each group (same group) bring the following materials for the
next day:
remediation
bondpaper, pencil, ruler, protractor and compass
V. REMARKS
Reflect on your teaching and assess yourself as a teacher. Think about your students’ progress. What
works? What else needs to be done to help the pupils/students learn? Identify what help your
VI. REFLECTION instructional supervisors can provide for you so when you meet them, you can ask them relevant
questions.
