CHAPTER 1

INDEFINITE INTEGRALS
‫ود‬ ‫ـ ا‬ ‫ا ــــــ‬
1.1 DEFINITION

Integration is an inverse process of differentiation process.

If the integration is evaluated with boundaries, it’s called
indefinite integral while if the boundaries are exit, it’s called
definite integrals.
( )
If = ( ), Then

∫ f (s )dx = F (x ) + c
Where c is the integration constant.

Ex: Q
d 3
dx
( )
x = 3x 2
∫( )
3 x 2 dx = x 3 + c

d
Ex: Q (sin( x )) = cos( x )
dx ∫
cos ( x )dx = sin( x ) + c

Note:
∫ f (x ) ± g (x ) dx = ∫ f (x )dx ± ∫ g(x ) dx
∫ f (x ) × g (x ) dx ≠ ∫ f (x )dx × ∫ g(x )dx ∫ g(x ) dx
