WATER POLLUTION AND WATER CONTAMINATION
Water pollution is affecting the human and animal lives.

Let us see some reasons that cause water pollution.

Natural causes: Volcanoes, Animal waste, Algae ans Sult from floods

Human causes: Sewage, Fertilizers, Waste, Acid rain and Oil spillage

Effects of water pollution: Death of aquatic animals. It kills organisms like fish,
crabs, birds, and dolphins that depend on water bodies. Disruption of food
chains the food chain continues to be disrupted at all the levels due to these
diseases: Water pollution has a serious problem.

Steps to control water pollution: Always look for the correct waste bin for
throwing waste. Save water, Close the tap when not in use. Do not throw
waste chemicals, oils and medicines in the sink drain. And do not overuse
pesticides and fertilizers. Try planting more trees.

We have lot of ways to keep water and air clean.

 Water is very precious resources that living things need it to survive.
 Plants and trees need water to grow
 Human beings also use water in cooking, cleaning and farming.
 Animals and human beings need water to keep their body healthy and
function correctly.

The following are some ways to keep water clean and safe:
 Plant tress and vegetables without the use of inorganic pesticides.
 Choose non-toxic household products whenever possible.
 Dispose of hazardous materials correctly.
 Don’t throw any oil in the sea or ocean.

How about the air? Why do we need a clean and safe air?
Possible response:
 We all need air for breathing. The animals that live both land, air and
water needs air too. Without air, we will all die.

The following are some ways to keep water clean and safe:
 No smoking in public places.
 Walk or ride a bicycle instead od riding a motorcycle when going to
near places.
 Say no to backyard burning(kaingin) plastic and wheels burning.
 Reduce, Reuse and recycle.

Why are some groceries insisting the use of paper bags instead of plastic
bags?

Groceries are insisting on the use of paper bags instead of plastic bags
because paper bags can easily be decomposed while plastic bags cannot
decompose easily and it takes long time to decompose.
