by the Compulsory Standards Act No. 3 of 2017 to administer,
maintain and enforce compulsory standards for purposes
of public health and safety, consumer and environmental
protection. The establishment of the Agency was part of the
implementation of the National Quality Policy of 2010. The
Agency started its operations in January 2018.
