 Collectively the rows and columns are called a worksheet
Productivity Applications
 People for years used to organise data and perform
calculations by hand on paper. But on an electronic
worksheet, you organise data in the same manner; and
the computer performs the calculations more quickly
and accurately.
 Database Software- A database is a collection of data
organised in a manner that allows access, retrieval, and
use of that data.
 You might record and store data on a paper and store
in a cabinet in a manual database. With and electronic
computerised database the computer stores the data in
electronic format on a storage medium like a hard
disk.
