Difference between phonetics and phonology

Phonetics and phonology are two subfields of linguísticas which studies the sounds in language since
both these fields are related to the production of sounds many People dont understand the difference
between phonetics and phonology.

The main difference between phonetics and phonology is that phonetics is the study of speech sound
where as phonology is the study of sounds especially different patterns of sound in different language.

Phonetics is the study and classificativos of speech sounds it concerne with the physical properties of
speech sounds, including their physiological production, acoustic properties and auditory perception
basically phonetics studies how sound are produced trasmitted and received bases on these three
primar functions, phonetics can be classified into three subcategories :articulatory phonetics, studies the
production of speech sounds by the articulatory and vocal tract of the speaker acoustic phonetics
studies the physical transmisssion of speech sounds from the speaker to the listener wheres auditory
phonetics studies the reception and perception of speech sounds by the listener.

What is phonology
Phonology is the system of contraste relationship among the speech sounds that constitute the
fundamental components of a language in simples words, phonology is the study of sounds especially
different patterns of sounds in different languages it studies how sounds are combined together to from
words and how sounds alternate in different languages. Phonology also studies the inventor of sounds
and their features in a language and the pragmáticos rules which specify how sounds interact with each
other. Phonology also studies the inventory of sounds and their features in a language and the

histoty and theory of sound changes in a language or in two or more related languags.

We learn to reproduce the sound patterns in our native language from the birt itself but some sounds in
our language my not be available in other languages may of us face problemas in pronouncing foreign
words.

sounds. The production of speech looks at the interaction of different vocal organs, for exmple the
lips,tongue and teeth, to produced particular sounds.

"wish," as well as /a/and/i/ in the case of the words "wish" and "wash. " Allophones are considere different
variantes of the same phonemes.
