Adding Transitions in Adobe Premiere Pro
Adding Transitions in Adobe Premiere Pro
- Make sure your project is open and your sequence is loaded in the Timeline panel.
- Locate the Effects panel. If it's not visible, go to `Window > Effects` to open it.
3. Find Transitions:
- In the Effects panel, expand the Video Transitions folder to see categories of transitions such as
Dissolve, Iris, Page Peel, Slide, Wipe, etc.
- You can also expand the Audio Transitions folder for audio-specific transitions.
4. Apply a Transition:
- Drag the transition onto the cut point between two clips in the Timeline panel. The transition will
snap to the cut.
- Right-Click Method:
- Choose Apply Default Transitions. The default transition is usually a Cross Dissolve for video and a
Constant Power for audio.
- Go to the Effect Controls panel to adjust the duration and other settings of the transition. You can also
drag the edges of the transition in the Timeline to change its duration directly.
- Use the playhead to preview the transition in the Program Monitor. Make sure it looks smooth and
fits the desired effect.
