NEWS LETTER 4TH April, 2024.

2ND TERM 2023/2024 ACADEMICS SESSION


Dear Valued Parents/Guardians,
We thank God for the success of this term, we also appreciate you all for your support and
understanding throughout the term.
We are glad that you are part of our school community. 2023/2024 is one wonderful session
where all our students will be engaged interactively with learning resources planned to meet
their individual needs.
BUILDING EXCELLENT INDEPENDENT LEARNING IS OUR GOAL
Our focus is on learners to help them learn how to develop the appropriate skills and
understanding techniques that will help them independently solve problems and get excellent
results. Here at Christycaleb College, our students are taught how to do the following;
Imagine, Enquire, Explore, Coordinate self, Take Initiative and innovative learning in other
to make them global front runners, rare gems and front sitters in the global village.
Our new and old parents, we welcome you to a world of great learning, teaching and fun.
ACTIVITIES DURING THE TERM:
A. Valentine’s day celebration:
B. Open Day: This was successfully held on Wednesday 23rd February,2024.
C. Cultural day: The cultural day that held on Thursday 28th March,2024 was a great success
as the children were all dressed up in different cultural attire while exhibiting our cultural
food, snacks and drinks.
D. BECE & WAEC Extension class: The class kicked off at the beginning of the term in other to
prepare fully for the upcoming external examinations, WAEC, NECO, JAMB and the junior
BECE; we implore our parents to continuously support our students at home to ensure we
achieve the best result.

We appreciate the parents who made early payment of school fees and enjoined our parents
that payment for the new term should be made before resumption; at least 70%. while proof
of payment be sent to the school line(s) for evidence.

BONUS: A discount of 5% is given to parents who pay before 20th April,2024.
ADMISSION/SCHOOL ENTRANCE EXAMINATION: Admission into Christycaleb for
2023/2024 academic session is still on. Admission form is #10,000 for college.
Walk-in and online examination and interview are available from Monday- Friday from April
2024.
DISCIPLINE: We at Christycaleb will continue to raise the bar in our learners’ uprightness,
moral awareness, respect and discipline to ensure that they aren’t left behind, hence, parents
are implored to help their wards acquired the right set of uniforms, jacket, tie, sock and shoe.
Discipline will start from the gate. Any learner not well dressed will not be allowed into the
school premises. We also crave the indulgence of our parent on school bus to properly dress
their wards before being picked up. This will enable us achieve the best by ensuring our
learners stand out in their dressing as ambassadors of our institution.

LEARNING SUPPORT PROGRAMME: The general welfare of our learners is our top priority
and ensuring the academic prowess on our learners is our major concern, hence, we have a
programme scheduled to target learners with special needs or not academically pro-active to
upgrade their learning ability. This will enable a one - one interaction with learners with strict
supervision and in-depth methodology and teaching style to help leaners who fall below the
40% grade in their report. This will hold during closing time and a stipend with be attached to
it. Please help us to continuously help our learners.
AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMME: The school is coming up with a plan to assist parents who due
to their tight schedule is making them to come late thereby leaving their wards into the hands
of strangers, it will run between 5pm to 9pm (Mondays to Thursdays) and weekends.
Interested parents should see the school coordinator.
ASSESSMENT: This is to remind you and also emphasize that our pass mark has been changed
from 50% to 60%. its aim is to ensure higher pass mark for our students and perform better
especially in external examinations.
SCHOOL ROUTINE
 Resumption date for 3rd term is Monday, 22nd April,2024.
 Daily activities for the term
The school expects all students to be in school on or before 7:30am. Please help the children
get to school on time.
Hair styles: GIRLS---well plaited hair without coloured attachments
BOYS---low cut, designed haircuts are not allowed.
Wishing our Muslim parents happy Id el Fitr in advance.
