A full page contract is included for
you to review with students. The
contract can be sent home for parents
to review with their child, sign / date
and return to school.

A half-sheet version of the “Science


Safety Rules” is included for students
to sign and place in their science
notebooks. It can be used to remind
students of the promise they made to
follow lab rules throughout the year.

The most important part of every science investigation is to practice safety.
Taking care of lab materials and equipment and making sure all students
have a safe learning experience is everyone’s responsibility!

***Please read, sign and return***

Science Lab Safety Rules


*Listen carefully and follow all teacher directions.
*Do not touch, taste, eat, drink or smell lab materials without
permission.
*Use all science lab tools and materials correctly.
*Report all accidents, emergencies or spills to the teacher.
*Wash your hands after science lab activities.
*Do your part while working and when cleaning up.
*Act responsibly in the science lab at all times.
I know it is very important to practice lab safety. I have reviewed
these safety rules with my teacher and parent/guardian and I
agree to follow these science lab safety rules.
