Teaching Module: Anti-Bullying Campaign

Grade Level: 7th Grade

Subject: Character Education / Social Studies

Duration: 3 Sessions (45 minutes each)

Module Overview

This module aims to educate students about bullying, its various forms, and the negative impact it
has on individuals and the school community. Students will participate in interactive activities such as
discussions, poster-making, drama, and expert talks to develop a deeper understanding of the issue
and learn strategies to prevent and address bullying.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this module, students will be able to:

1. Define bullying and identify its different forms (physical, verbal, social, and cyberbullying).

2. Understand the emotional and psychological impact of bullying on victims.

3. Recognize the importance of creating a supportive and safe school environment.

4. Develop strategies to prevent and respond to bullying.

5. Promote anti-bullying messages through creative expressions such as posters and drama.

Session Breakdown

Session 1: Understanding Bullying

 Duration: 45 minutes

 Activities:

1. Introduction to Bullying (15 minutes)

 Definition of bullying.

 Types of bullying (physical, verbal, social, cyberbullying).

 Group discussion: Have students share their thoughts or experiences related


to bullying.

2. Impact of Bullying (15 minutes)

 Discuss the emotional and psychological effects of bullying on victims.

 Case study: Analyze a real or fictional scenario where bullying occurred and
discuss its impact.

3. Interactive Q&A (15 minutes)


 Allow students to ask questions and express concerns.

 Teacher addresses misconceptions and emphasizes the importance of


empathy and respect.

Session 2: Creative Expression Against Bullying

 Duration: 45 minutes

 Activities:

1. Poster-Making Activity (30 minutes)

 Students create posters with anti-bullying messages to display around the


school.

 Encourage creativity and the use of powerful, positive messages.

2. Poster Presentation (15 minutes)

 Students present their posters to the class, explaining the message and
inspiration behind their designs.

 Class discussion on the importance of spreading awareness through visual


arts.

Session 3: Role-Playing and Expert Talk

 Duration: 45 minutes

 Activities:

1. Anti-Bullying Drama (25 minutes)

 Divide students into small groups and assign them different scenarios
involving bullying.

 Students create and perform short skits demonstrating how to address


bullying situations effectively.

2. Expert Talk (20 minutes)

 Invite a school counselor, psychologist, or local expert to talk about bullying


and offer practical advice on prevention and intervention.

 Q&A session where students can ask the expert questions.

Assessment

 Formative Assessment:

o Participation in discussions and activities.

o Quality of poster designs and presentations.

o Engagement and creativity in role-playing activities.


 Summative Assessment:

o A short reflective essay where students discuss what they learned about bullying, its
effects, and how they plan to contribute to a bully-free school environment.

Follow-Up Activities
