Objective: Recognize oral and written vocabulary related to vacations, technology, environment,
transportation, by listening to peers, teachers, audio sources and reading texts in order to communicate ideas
in the target language.

III TERM

Activity description. In a spelling bee, contestants take turns trying to spell words correctly. The contestants
may work in teams or as individuals, depending on the bee. A judge reads a word aloud and then the contestant
must spell the word aloud. There are several rounds of competition. In the final rounds, contestants are
eliminated when they spell a word incorrectly. That continues until there is a single winner, though sometimes
two people share the prize.What a special event you are participating in! With determination, this will be a
positive, memorable experience for all of you! The following will give you an idea of what to expect during the
Bee.

To do so, follow these steps:

1. Copy/Check the words ( the list of words) that your teacher give you in the class
2. You have to practice the pronunciation every day and get ready for spelling the words.
There will be 3 different contests , two with your class and one with other students from
different classes.
3. Make your own glossary with all the vocabulary words.
● Front page
● Definition
● One sentence using the word
4. You can be creative and do the glossary adding some drawings, pictures, any graphic. It is also
optional to present it in a folder, as a book, or in a special notebook.
5. Print and add the checklist and self-evaluation in your homework.
