1. As, Jurisprudence is a philosophical study of law, it will give students a thorough
understanding of how laws have evolved over time.
2. It will assist learners in illustrating the importance, function, and role of law,
Course equity, and justice in society and in mankind.
Objectives 3. It will aid students in developing a better understanding of law and different
legal perspectives.
4. To familiarize the students with the growth of law and that law has contributed
towards regulating society.
After the completion of this course,:
1. Students will be acquainted with the basic ideas and fundamental principles of
law in the given society.
Course 2. Students will be able to critically analyse and research complex problems
Outcomes relating to law and legal theory and make reasoned and appropriate choices
alternatives.
3. Students will be able to identify such pressing demand or problems which
require solution within the parameters of the law, justice and other social
norms.
COURSE SYLLABUS
NOTE:
1. The question paper shall consist of Five Questions in all.
2. The first question is compulsory in nature and it shall contain short answer-type questions from
all the modules, carrying 2.5 marks each and the student shall be required to attempt all the eight
questions.
3. Question No. 2, 3, 4 and 5 shall be long-answer-type questions from all the units and students shall
be required to attempt anyone out of the given two choices under each question from the individual
module. Each long answer type question shall carry 10 Marks. The Examiner will be free to set the
questions either in analytical based or case law based.
