Status changed from Inquired waiting response to Open

Dear Alvaro

I would like to clarify our policies relating to capture computers.

Computer compatibility
The only computers that are interchangeable and can be reconfigured without issue
are capture computers for the following devices:

Veraviewepocs 3D R100 (From DK**** with new sensor)

Veraview X800
The sensors are the same in both devices and the only difference is the calibration
tools which can be uninstalled.

Computer restore
We have confirmed that it is possible to restore the T5820XL computers from a new
installation of Windows 10 Pro 64 for the devices indicated above. The reason for
this is much of the capturing and buffering work is performed on the X-ray device
and we do not require specialised software on the PC side to receive data. We have
announced this, provided the draft manual and are waiting for R&D to approve the
final manual contents.

Now, what you have is a capture PC for a Veraviewepocs 3D R100 (old sensor) which
includes specialized Sapera capturing software. This software is not used by any
other sensor. This is why it is not included in the compatibility list above.
Furthermore, we have said nothing about using any of these computers for a
Veraviewepocs 3De.

Regarding the question "can I use this capture PC for a 3De", the answer is
officially no . We have no conversion procedures nor do we support such conversions
due to the specialized requirements of the sensor used in the older R100 devices.

Now, I am not unsympathetic and I understand you are trying to deal with the
situation quickly to satisfy the customer so I will suggest you try as follows:

1. Uninstall 3DXD
2. Uninstall Sapera software
3. Check the properties of the x-ray NIC in Windows and, according to our NIC
replacement guide, disable any Sapera, DALSA or Teledyne entries. See page 4.

4. Install 3DXD 5.0.2 selecting X700 3D as shown above.
5. Upgrade the firmware of the 3De to 1.40
(https://www.jmmctech.com/dmsf/files/32/view)

After those steps, hopefully MctAdj will be able to connect and calibration can be
done. I'm sorry that I cannot provide much more than this as the computer purchased
is for a different device and we cannot guarantee that it will work as the
capturing system is quite different. Please keep this in mind and, really, I do
hope it will work out. Otherwise, I'm afraid the only option is to get a computer
that is designed to work with the X-ray equipment on site.
Good morning Alvaro

Last week i have tried this conversion and succeeded.

Below i have listed the steps i have tried so can you please make sure you havnt
missed any of these and see if it works.

1. check if the board is a IPM-8531BE, if you have a board that indicates 138061-
PRT-PRO1A it will not work
2. uninstall 3DXD
3. delete these two entries in directory
HKEY_CURRENT_USER_\SOFTWARE\JMORITA\3dxd_1.1\VideoControl
HKEY_CURRENT_USER_\SOFTWARE\JMORITA\3dxd_1.1\CaptureControl
4. delete Dalsa/Sapera software in Windows
5. take off the grabber board from OLD PC

6. Put in the board in slot 6, move down the LAN board to another slot if it is in
there
7. go to JMMCtech and download latest softwares ( 3DXD ver 5.0.2.13350, main
firmware 1.40, graphin driver)
8. install graphin driver
open device manager, select multifunction adaptor
driver update > driver folder > select driver for graphin driver
once updated, confirm in the general tab that the device is working properly
9. install 3DXD with a clean install (3DXD)
10. make sure you have connection with xray and open DXLADJ, files -> open
apparatus host name settings 192.168.240.10 (X700)
11. CTL+ALT+SFT and open driver settings
and you will able to select upload settings (update firmware on the xray)
12. open local group policy editor
Local Computer policy > computer configuration > windows settings > security
settings >local policies > user rights assignment > Lock pages in memory
select add user and add in Everyone
Local Computer policy > computer configuration> windows settings> security
settings >local policies > user rights assignment > adjust memory quotas for a
process
select add user and add in Everyone

13. reboot PC
14. Open MCTADJ and do the callbration

see if this works.

I appreciate if you can let us know if this works or not.
