starting from products registration and ending with issuing the final shipment certificate passing
through technical review and other required actions to issue t he yearly Product certificate

The client can link TÜV Rheinland directly with his suppliers to guide them about the technical

requirements and finalize the technical part of product registration process.

TÜV Rheinland role:


Handling the regulated and un-regulated products registration process and reviewing the related
required documents

Issuing one year valid Product Certificate “PC” for regulated products

Handling the Shipment Certificate “SC’’ issuance process

Approving the Shipment Certificate “SC”

Importer role:
Sharing one of his SABER admins account username & password

Authorization letter to TÜV Rheinland in the client head letter or by official confirmation email
to handle the client SABER account

Submitting the needed documents to complete issuing the requested PCoC & SC

Process Flow:

01 Importer creates an account on Saber platform

Importer/ TÜV Rheinland adds Product information on SABER Platform for obtaining

Product Certificate of Conformity (PCoC)

Importer / TÜV Rheinland selects Certification Body (CB) such as TÜV Rheinland for
03 issuance of PCoC

04 Importer clears SASO fees thru SADAD

TÜV Rheinland accesses the SABER Platform to check the requests from Importers and

contact them to get the required technical documents

TÜV Rheinland facilitates the Conformity Assessment Process& can be linked with the
06 supplier for submission of all substantiating documents

07 TÜV Rheinland verifies the Results and issue the Product Certificate accordingly

Importer/ TÜV Rheinland apply for a shipment certificate and select the items which will
08 be shipped and mentioned in his commercial invoice

*above process flow is for the regulated products only. For the un-regulated products only step 1 & 7 will be
applicable

Payment Terms & Conditions:

▪ SASO payments should be done through SADAD service


▪ TÜV Rheinland payments shall be made in advance and transferred to the bank account.

▪ The above mentioned price shall be valid unless the requirements and regulations are changed by
relevant authorities
▪ The proposal and the offered services are subject to general terms and conditions of TÜV
Rheinland Arabia

▪ This agreement will be renewed for 1 year automatically when it finish unless if there is a rejection from one
of the two parties.

Lead Time:

Product Certificate: 1 - 2 working days after submitting the correct required documents

Handling Shipment Certificate issuance: 1 working days after receiving the commercial Invoice

Shipment Certificate approval: 1 working day

Note: if the product technical regulation requires Factory inspection the lead time will be discussed case by case
